Sweet summertime....

Livi Kay has a love/hate relationship with my parents dog, Maggie.  She really WANTS to like her...but she is afraid.  UNTIL Maggie gets tired and leaves Liv alone....then Liv starts to torment her!

 

Poor Livi needs a haircut....but I am not really sure what direction I should go with this one.  I want to keep her hair growing our so I can pull it back and put it up....but I fear if I cut the front but not the back she will have a mullet!!  Poor sweetie...she is just going to have to look like a rag-a-muffin for a bit longer I guess!!

Piggy tails and Birthdays

Livi Kay sported her first pair of piggy tails today! Oh boy did she think that she was something special (well...she is)...she is just SO sassy and loves to look at herself in the mirror. As a mom, who is as girly as they come, this having a girly-girl is just too fun! Love that her hair is getting longer...and that she LETS me do it!

AND---it is my momma's birthday today! Happy birthday mom/nana! We sure do love you. We would be lost without you. I hope that you have a marvelous birthday and that the coming year is filled with happiness and fun!
The older I get, the more I realize how wonderful my mother is, and what a great job she did (and still does) of raising my sister and I. Love you.

Pony-Tails

It seems like Olivia's hair is growing like crazy lately. Her bangs are starting to hang in her face, but I cannot bring myslef to snip them yet! We have started to wear a pony-tail! She looks so cute. Remonds me of my sister when she was little. Mary wore what we called a "whale-tail" until about 3rd grade! ha.

It was nice to not be super busy all weekend. I worked late on Friday and then we went to bed early. On Saturday we hung out around the house and then Ryan took me out on a date :). Sunday was spent at BOTH of our parents houses...Blake loved sledding and playing in the snow. Ryan was finally able to do a little ice fishing, and he caught a 28.5 inch pike. Now he is going to want to be fishing all of the time :)

Not the paparazzi!!

I follow this boy around all day with the camera...and never get a good shot of him! He is too quick...and does NOT like to get his picture taken! I hope that he grows out of this phase....beacuse I sure do like to take pictures :)

I have NO good pictures of Olivis and Blake together...none....and she is almost 4 months old!! These are some of the last pictures with him with his long hair. We got it cute today! I will get some "after" pictures (if I can catch him)! I DO love those curls...but they had to go. They will be back in no time. His hair grows like crazy. This was his 4th haircut so far! AND....he is sleeping in his bed like a champ! He is so proud of himself for getting in and out by himself :)

We start swimming lessins tonight, so I am excited about that. He doesnt really get it, but I think that it will all come back to him when we get to the pool!

Bye-Bye sweet curls!!

This isn't even the first time, but it still seems just as hard as it did then!! It's time for Blake to get another hair cut!! His hair grows like a weed!! We got it all chopped off back in May for the first time...and he is long overdue to have it cut again. I just hate to see those sweet blond curls go! I have to remember that they will grow back!!
He is becoming quite the poser with the camera....here we were counting 1, 2, 3...and he would pose....or this time throw his hands up in the air!!

He looks so much older after a hair cut....and I hate to see my baby get too old too fast....but it must happen! We can't keep this poor kid looking like such a rag-a-muffin :)....I will post after pictures later!!

Blake's Trip to the Barbershop!

As mentioned yesterday, Blake had his 1st real haircut!! He looks like such a big boy now. My dad wanted him to go down to the Broadway Barbershop where all of the men go for their haircuts. Yesterday we met my dad down there, so he could help us out!!

Blake did such a good job. Just sat there on my dad's lap like a big boy. It could have been a disaster...but I was so proud of him!

He was really concerned with what was going on in the next chair over most of the time!

They even had a little reading material to keep him entertained!

Bye-Bye sweet curls....

Say farewell to these sweet soft blonde curls. We got Blake hair cut for the first time today (besides a few snips that I did myself when needed). I did take some pictures, but I have not loaded them yet. I will post them later.
It was a little bitter sweet to see those sweet curls fall to the ground. He looks like such a big boy with his short hair.....it really does look so much better. He did a GREAT job at the barber shop....yes we took him to the barber shop. He sat there on my dad's lap with all of the other men, and took it like a man. I was so proud of him. Our baby is growing up.

Cuteness

Blake’s hair is coming in so much every day. He was so bald; for so long, that it is nice to see that he really IS going to have hair! It is quite blond..and you still can’t really see it in pictures, but it IS there!

I got his 6 month pics taken a couple of weeks back, so I can’t wait to see how they turn out. I should be getting them within the next couple of weeks!

Tomorrow morning is his 6 month check-up. We are a little late on all of these appointments, considering he will be 7 months on Monday, but oh well. I am anxious to see where he weighs in at and how tall he has gotten. He seems really long, but we don’t really have anyone to compare him to :o)

Here is the little baldy with me. These pics were taken a couple of weeks ago...the hair seriously has come in since these were taken....b/c his head looks as shiny/bald as can be here!! haha
