Nana and Papa...

I snapped a few cute pictures of my parents and Blake the other night.  He is just growing up so fast and none of us can get enough of him!!  He is such a sweet, smart, spunky little boy.  I just love ho listen to him :)

I cannot for the life of me get these pictures to rotate....ugh.  I am giving up.

Blake and Papa!

Last Wednesday Blake and Papa had a little outing! Blake was SO excited.



Papa (my dad) was coming to pick Blake up before school and take him to the barber shop and out to breakfast. Blake was WAY overdue for a trim :). He was SO excited for papa to pick him up and for the special outing (just the 2 of them).

Typically Blake is not much a morning person, but this day he sure was! He woke up early, picked out a "special" outfit, and waited by the door in preparation of papa's arrival.

My dad said that Blake was such a big boy. He sat in the barber chair with no issues for his haircut. They went to Tim Horton's for breakfast and Blake was especially excited about the donut that they shared (although I hear that Blake ate more than his fair share).

How special that Blake gets alone time with my dad...I am sure that these are the memories that he will recall when he grows up!!

Last week we went to a Great Lakes Loon's game (our Minor League baseball team). This is the 3rd time that Blake has been...once each summer. He did pretty good this time. We made it to about the 5th inning before he had to get up adn walk around. Once that happened, we couldnt get him to come back to the seats...so we just left!! ha.

He was lucky and got to have some soda pop! He loves it.

Hard to believe that summer is winding down...have to enjoy all of the summer activities while we still can!!

Quick Post

I have been a bad blogger lately...and it probaby isnt going to get much better until next week. This week is my busiest week at work of the whole year. I have a HUGE event that takes place Wed, Thurs, Fri and then my big golf outing on Monday...so I am swamped and running around like a crazy lady all day long!!

We had a great weekend and enjoyed the warm weather!! Saturday we went to a pool party. Blake had a blast! He is such a good swimmer. The swimming essons paid off!!

Sunday we spent time with my dad, ryans dad, went to an open house for Ryan's cousin, and celebrated fathers day for Ry...it was a crazy busy day! I am lucky to have some many awesome father's in my life...and my kids are lucky too!! A GREAT dad, and two AWESOME papa's both within a few miles!!

Father's Day

I have lots of 'Father's' in my life to be thankful for on Father's Day!!

First of is Ryan...who is one of the best Fathers that I have ever seen! Blake is so lucky...and I am too. Blake made him a luggage tag at daycare and gave that to Ryan on Sunday morning. He also painted him some beautiful golf balls....SO cute :)

Then I have my own Daddy....who has always been there for me and the rest of the family. Now he is better known as "Papa"....he and Blake built a fort in the living room yesterday morning!

Now I also have a Father-In-Law who is a great dad...and grandpa. We are so lucky to have so many great "dad'" around!

Blake also has 3 great-grandpa's! Two of whom we saw yesterday...and one down in Florida who we miss very much!!

Happy Father's day Daddy, Papa, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa(s)....!!

Budweiser Clysdale's

Our local beer distributor had their 125th anniversary celebration and they brought the Budweiser Clydesdale's to town. You can tell that not too many exciting things happen around here....because the people came out in droves to see the horses!!
Of course we had to take Blake downtown to see them!!

Blake's Trip to the Barbershop!

As mentioned yesterday, Blake had his 1st real haircut!! He looks like such a big boy now. My dad wanted him to go down to the Broadway Barbershop where all of the men go for their haircuts. Yesterday we met my dad down there, so he could help us out!!

Blake did such a good job. Just sat there on my dad's lap like a big boy. It could have been a disaster...but I was so proud of him!

He was really concerned with what was going on in the next chair over most of the time!

weekend recap

We had a really nice weekend...not many plans...got lost of stuff done around the house....and hung out with the fam a lot! These pictures (and there are a LOT of them) are from Friday night at my mom and dads!!

This picture of B looking at Ry just melts my heart (well except the obscene about of chest hair that Ry has showing..but that is gonna have to go before summer...he assures me the ladies love it...eww).
