Sippy Cups...

Blake is going to be 15 months old this weekend. He should have the sippy cup mastered by now. But he just doesnt. He like drinking out of a straw, but just doesnt enjoy the sippy cup.
What should we do? This kid just still loves his "ba-ba." There was a few months there where he wasnt eating much at all, so I just let him have his bottle, because I wanted him to get his calories any way that he would.
He can get juice out of a tiny juice box straw with no problem...but it is too much of a mess. He just wants to squeeze the juice box.
He gives the sippy cup one try, doesnt get much...and just loses interest! I have invested a lot of money into trying different sippy cups..but we havent found the right one yet!
We still let him have a bottle when he is going to bed....I hope that we are not creating a monster! I hear all of these people saying that it is not right....but he is still a peanut...and he just loves it.
Maybe in another month or so we can just take it away and not look back....but we just arent ready yet!

God daughter was the same way. Have you tried one of the sippy cups that has a straw instead of a valve? I think it is Playtex who makes one that my God daughter really loved.

Raleigh hated her sippy cup too so Target has a brand of sippy cups that have a straw in them and are no spill...she loves them and now wont take her bottle..Kind of sad but good I guess!

My daughter was the same way. Just refused the sippy cup. The doctor suggested putting plain old water in her bottle, and putting milk or juice in her sippy cup. If she still wasnt drinking the sippy and would drink the bottle that was fine since she would be drinking more water.

Worked like a charm! She realized if she wanted "the good stuff" she had to drink from the sippy cup (and of course she didn't want to drink the water lol)

So cute! I give Grady the Nuby cuts that kind of look like a bottle. Have you tried those? I think you can get them with different tops!
