Happy Halloween

We had a fun Halloween yesterday. This is the first year that Blake actually understood the whole trick-or-treating thing, so it was fun to watch him do that! He kept saying "One more house!!"...he got LOTS of candy....and we had lots of fun :)

My little bug....
With cousin Addyson...

Cheese!!!.....

Livi was a trooper and just watched everything happening around her!!

Can't wait til next year...events like this make me excited for them to grow, because I know that it is just going to be more and more fun!!

Halloween fun!

Today was Blake's Halloween Party at school! This isnt actually a school day for Blake, but we took him in anyway because we didnt want him to miss out on the fun!! He chose his cowboy costume and he looked SO cute!!
Olivia went along too as a little ladybug to watch all of the fun!!

Olivia loves to get her picture taken....Blake, not so much!!

Just checking out all of the cool costumes!!

Blake and all of his friends!!

Out of 8 kids, there were two Spiderman, and 2 dragons!! haha

Blake's daycare is connected to a nursing home. The kids paraded around the hallway and all of the residents handed out candy. Fun for the kids...and the residents!!
Livi just paraded around with Blake and his friends. She had fun taking everything in!

and my mom too!!

Blake and his friends!!

Blake was such a good little boy! I was so proud of him. He listened so well to his teacher and said his thank-you's to everyone! Made this mama PROUD...now if I could only get him to act like that at hom!! haha.

"Hey mama, I drive tractor"

This is what Blake is saying now. Blake's great-grandpa Tom took him on a tractor ride...and now he is obsessed with everything tractor!

He says " I drive tractor.."..."I ride tractor.."..."mama, is that tractor?.."....

I have to admit that I was a little nervous about Grandpa taking off down the road with Blake on his lap...but he said that he smiled from ear to ear the whole ride!!
**You don't see a little monkey riding a tractor every day, huh?!...in our defense this was on Halloween weekend, so we were in full costume mode the whole time :)

monkeying around

Well, Blake finally DID get into his Halloween costume and I think that he really enjoyed it after all! His school Halloween party and parade were on Friday and he doesn't typically go to school on Friday's since Ryan does not work. WELL....Ryan had to work b/c of inventory so my mom was babysitting. We had planned on her taking him up to school at 10:30 for his party...but he slept right through that! Figures. I thought that maybe if he saw his friends dressed up that he would "get" it.
After he woke up my mom did get him ready and brought him up to my office for some trick-or-treating. That is what these pictures are from.... He ran around my office building like a crazy little monkey collecting treats from my co-workers!

He wore the costume again on Saturday for trip to great-grandpa and grandmas and then to the in-laws as well. He didn't fuss at all. SO, I guess that I was worrying for nothing...he must have just known that it wasn't Halloween weekend before, so he didn't need to put it on!!

Halloween costume?! Maybe not.....

I'm not so sure that we are going to be able to dress-up for Halloween this year. Blake wants NOTHING to do with wearing any sort of costume.

I few weeks ago he was obsessed with monkeys...so I thought that would be the perfect costume! He makes the cutest little ahh-ahh, ohh-ohh monkey noise....so I ordered him this costume from Old Navy. NOPE....he wont even let me try it on him without pitching a fit!! Sad, because it is so cute!!
He is also slightly obsessed with cowboys, horsies, hats, etc. so when my mom say this costume she thought that he would love it. Nope...wont have anything to do with this one either!! It is so cute too....but we might not get to use either costume!!

I am hoping that when he sees some other kids dressed up that maybe he will get the concept and want to join in?! I don't know...maybe that just isn't our year!!
Last year Blake was the cutest little pumpkin ever...but he was too young to protest then :)

So happy that it is THURSDAY!

This has been a long week…SO ready for the weekend! I was lucky last week because I only had to work 3 days…this 5 day work week is killing me…hehehe. We don’t have any major plans for the weekend..so I am looking forward to it!!

Tonight we are headed to little sister Dani’s volleyball game. This will be the District Final game…(I think)…..they are pretty good!! Dani is a senior this year…so we have to go to these games, b/c at any time they may lose, and then she is done playing :(

This is one of Dani's senior pics...cutie...she is not even 5 ft and just a tiny peanut, but she is very athletic and can hold her own on the v-ball court with girls MUCH bigger than her!
I have been getting organized around the hose and putting away wedding gifts (sad that I am JUST getting to this)…but I made some returns of duplicates and such at Target and Kohl’s…so I have some gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. While I was there, I did pick up a coat and a pair of boots…I am sure that is JUST what our family and friends would want me to spend wedding gift money on, huh?!? Oops….maybe I will spend the rest on some practical items this weekend!?

I never posted a picture of Ryan and I from Halloween. We went to a party at some friend’s house. We commented that we can tell that we are getting old b/c everyone had couples costumes…and no one was dressed sleezy! In our glory days we would have been surrounded by sexy costumes! ha

We dressed as Popeye and Olive Oyl...one of my corkers had the costumes from a few years ago...we didnt want to spend $$ on new ones...so we used them...turned out cute :)

Busy Bees....

Feels like a busy week….I was home from work yesterday with Blake. He had a rough night on Sunday night….but did much better last night. I think the fact that he popped two teeth in a couple if days really threw his system out of whack!

Today I have been busy catching up with work e-mails and such. Tomorrow and Thursday back in the office…and then Friday OFF!! Yay.

I have a party to go to on Thursday night at one of my girlfriends house…we are having a cocktail party at our house on Friday night….and then we have a Halloween party to attend on Saturday night. Should be a fun filled weekend.

I still need to get costumes pulled together for Ryan and I for Saturday night….I have NO clue what to do! I want something simple, cheap, and easy….but something good (in my dreams, right!!).

Here we are two year ago...last year I was pretty preggers and in no form to be dressing up!!

My friends and I were a swarm of bees with Ryan as our bee keeper!!
Here is my friend Kels (a rocker :)) and I

Halloween cuties!

I have already posted Blake’s Halloween picture on my sidebar...but will post it again. Isn’t he just the cutest little pumpkin in the patch?!?!

And here is our niece Addy. She is going to be a little lady Bug for her first Halloween! Too cute.

All of our local schools are closed down here for the rest of the week because of H1N1! I am so thankful that Blake gets to stay home with my mom and sister and doesn’t have to go to daycare! I guess EVERYONE is sick. Keeping my fingers crossed that our little family doesn’t catch the nasty bug!
