Blake's 1st Scool Pictures

Blake had pictures taken at school a week or two ago. We just got them back today.....I can't believe how OLD he looks!! My little baby is growing up.

Look at this little MAN!!
Not a huge fan of this one....but still cute :)
Look at this little stud muffin!
We actually have an appt. to get his Christmas pictures taken this weekend, so we don't need these ones....but they are hard to resist b/c he is SOOO cute!! (of course I am biased b/c he is mine :))

Little Water Baby!!

Two weekends ago my mom, Blake , and I went on a little overnight adventure to Frankenmuth. Blake was such a good boy and loved the trip. He especially loved swimming in the pools!! Here are a few pictures of my little water baby and his nana (my mom). The swimming lessons definitely paid off. This boy is NOT afraid of the water...and he totally gets the concept of swimming. I am looking forward to getting him enrolled in lessons again next spring!!

Raising him right....

I am starting early with Blake when it comes to chores!! I figure if we start him doing the laundry now he wont know any different :)....J/K, I do NOT make him do the laundry..but he really is a great little helper!! The other night he took every single piece out of the washer (one by one), transferred it to the dryer, and turned it on! He is going to make someone a good husband one day :)

I really think that he just like turning the dryer on, b/c it makes all kinds of beeps and noises :)....but hey, if that's all it takes, what the heck?!

"Hey mama, I drive tractor"

This is what Blake is saying now. Blake's great-grandpa Tom took him on a tractor ride...and now he is obsessed with everything tractor!

He says " I drive tractor.."..."I ride tractor.."..."mama, is that tractor?.."....

I have to admit that I was a little nervous about Grandpa taking off down the road with Blake on his lap...but he said that he smiled from ear to ear the whole ride!!
**You don't see a little monkey riding a tractor every day, huh?!...in our defense this was on Halloween weekend, so we were in full costume mode the whole time :)

Weekend Plans...

This is a picture from my phone of Blake eating dinner last night. He is SO full if it lately. It just cracks me up! He will laugh and laugh and just get the biggest kick out of himself! I love it....what a happy boy!

I am excited to get out of work this evening and relax! For some reason I am SO tired today. I just can't snap out of it. CMU plays WMU at home tonight...but I am tired and it is practically snowing outside, so I think that we will just watch it on TV!

Tomorrow morning we have an appt. for pictures. I am hoping to get a family picture that we can use for Christmas Cards...but we'll see if that plan works!

Tomorrow evening my high school (Sacred Heart) plays Ryan's high school (Beal City) in a big HS football rivalry game. If it isn't too cold I would like to go...but we will just play that by ear.

No big plans on Sunday. Probably just spend time with the families like usual. My mom is visiting my sister in Denver this weekend, so my dad is home alone!

I also have Slumdog Millionaire that I would like to watch sometime. I never saw it when it came out and want to see what all of the hype is about. Sounds like it will be a good cold weekend to snuggle up and watch a movie!

There are a few snow flakes falling outside...winter is just around the corner now...or maybe it is here!!

Blake's 1st Field Trip

Blake had his 1st school field trip a week ago Friday. I had to work, but Ryan was able to go with him as a chaperone :). I SO wish that I could have seen him there with all of his friends. Ryan said that he was a good, polite boy and that they had a lot of fun!
They went to the Pumpkin Patch. The kids were able to pick a pumpkin, ride a train, go on a hay ride, go in the bounce house, and have cider and donuts. Ryan said that Blake was patient and waited his turn for everything. This pictures if from his school's web-site. Ryan forgot to take the camera, so this is the only picture that we have!!

monkeying around

Well, Blake finally DID get into his Halloween costume and I think that he really enjoyed it after all! His school Halloween party and parade were on Friday and he doesn't typically go to school on Friday's since Ryan does not work. WELL....Ryan had to work b/c of inventory so my mom was babysitting. We had planned on her taking him up to school at 10:30 for his party...but he slept right through that! Figures. I thought that maybe if he saw his friends dressed up that he would "get" it.
After he woke up my mom did get him ready and brought him up to my office for some trick-or-treating. That is what these pictures are from.... He ran around my office building like a crazy little monkey collecting treats from my co-workers!

He wore the costume again on Saturday for trip to great-grandpa and grandmas and then to the in-laws as well. He didn't fuss at all. SO, I guess that I was worrying for nothing...he must have just known that it wasn't Halloween weekend before, so he didn't need to put it on!!

My little model baby....

We got the disc in the mail yesterday containing Blake's pictures from his fall mini-session with Sarrah at Violets Are Blue Photography. I am so pleased with how they turned out. He didn't quite know what to think of the whole experience. In his defense, I don't think that he had ever been in the woods like this before...so it was all so new for him. BUT, Sarrah got a lot of good ones...and she is taking his Christmas pictures this year too, so I am really excited about that!!

We already saw this one, b/c she used it as a sneak-peek on facebook!!

And this one...I am in love with the Black and White cropped one that sent us!!

My fav
He wasnt quite sure about this fallen tree here...
LOVE this one too...so natural looking.
And here is a cheesy FAKE smile...
and now his, did they just buy that fake smile?? look

What a handsome little bug...I am just so proud of him and can't believe what a big boy he is becoming!! I just love him to pieces :)

My little bookworm!!

Blake just loves to read!!
He would read and read and read if he could.
He reads to himself...or lets us read to him!
His school is doing a read-a-thon when they pledge to read 10 books in a month!
UMMM....hello, we read 10 books a DAY!
I have been getting books from the library for Blake.
I get 3-4 at a time.
When I bring them home he is SO excited!
I hope that he always loves to read :)
I sure love it!
Here he is reading out loud to himself...
it just melts my heart :)
