Summertime hobby...

GOLF!

My girlfriends and I golf together about every other week...so fun to get out there with just the girls.  We are not very serious about it...but we are getting better every time!
Every other Wednesday (or so) Ryan get the kids from "school" and they are on their own for the evening so I can have me "me" time :)

I used to be on a more formal league...but this is just laid back and totally "just for fun."
We typically play a scramble...or lose track of the score by the end!! haha

View from hole #1 last night.
It was a PERFECT evening for golf.
I LOVE this time of year.  It is still warm...but you can start to feel fall in the air.  The smell and sounds are different.

And me  on the last hole of the evening.  This pic makes it look darker than it actually was.
There was a full moon rising and it was beautiful!!

Festival Time

Spring has sprung...and we went to our first festival this weekend...the good 'ole Maple Syrup Festival in Shepherd on Friday evening. Ryan and I an the kids went out to a quick dinner and then on to the festival.

We planning on just going for the "Lights and Sirens" Parade...but we got there a bit before dusk, so had to walk around. We met up with my besting Erica and her son Dylan. The boys rode a couple of rides...and it was adorable! They were just giddy over it and SOO SOO cute! They laughed and squealed the whole time.

And then on to the parade where we met up with my friend Wendy and her daughters. It was fun..but LOUD. Blake got a kick out of it but covered his ears after a bit. Liv just took it all in like a champ!

(Can't get over how OLD Blake looks in this pic)

Hooray for spring time and outdoor activities! SO ready for the warmer weather!

St. Pattys Day OUT!

On St. Patty's Day Ryan and I went out with friends. St. Patty's day is always fun...but for Ryan and I it has extra special meaning....5 years ago we met on St. Patty's Day! Well....we kinda knew each other, but that is when we really started talking {flirting}...and the rest is history!! I always blame it on too much green beer...kidding/thankful at the same time :)

My good friend Kellianne and I...Ryan and I...Tony and I...Ry again...Erica and I

It was a FUN day/night of partying with friends. Ryan and I don't really get out all that much these days (especially together) so it was way fun and totally overdue!!

Thanks to my parents for babysitting the munchkins {again}....

Besties

Blake and Olivia are so cute together. She has ALWAYS wanted to follow him around nonstop...but at first he didn't pay much attention to her. Lately he has been wanting to play with her and I think that it is just the cutest thing in the world!!

He always wants me to put him in "sissy's bed"....he thinks it is just so great to play in there. I guess now that he doesn't sleep in a crib he thinks its cool :). There was a time that he was just dying to get out...haha!
He says "Mama, put by sissy in here!"..and I do...and they just play and play. I leave the room and can just hear them giggling away. It just melts my heart to see them playing together.

I hope that they are always the best of friends. I think that Blake will always be protective of her, and Livi will always look up to her cool big brother!

Where I've Been....

I have been MIA lately because I just got back from a long weekend at Lake Comberland, KY! me and 15 of my besties spend 3 days on a houseboat for my friend Megan's bachelorette party!!
It was SO much fun. We rented our house boat from the State Dock. It had 6 bedrooms with double beds, two pull out couches, a 16 person hot tub, 2 water slides, full kitchen, bar, grill, etc. Pretty much everything that you could EVER need on the lake!
This is what our boat looked like! Can you imagine 16 girls living on this for 3-4 days?! Luckilly my friend Erica was an excellent boat captain and could drive this like a champ! I don't think that I could have handled it!

Here we are in the hot tub! Someone thought that it would be funny to put soap in the tub and make a bubble bath! We didn't know what was going on when we first turned the jets on...lol. Isn't the scenery behins us beautiful?! We were ALL alone on the lake!

And THIS is how we got down to KY. 10 hours, 14 girls, in a MOTOR HOME! Yes, we are crazy....but it was so fun and so worth the tiredness that I feel now!!

I will have more pictures to post, but I have to upload them from my camera. I stole these ones from the State Dock web-site and my friends facebook pages!!

4th of July Weekend!

We had a fun and busy 4th of July weekend! It was nice to have a long weekend off of work, but it still went SO fast! Oh well.
On Friday night we went out to my parents house and had a bbq and hung out at the lake. On Saturday a.m. we did a few chores around our house so we could get that over and enjoy the rest of the weekend!
On Saturday afternoon Ryan and I went to Littlefield Lake to hang out with friends. The kids stayed with my mom and dad!

Heather and I on Saturday...

(this is after a long day of boating in the sun...so don't mind the windblown hair and no makeup!)

Heather, Sonny, and I

On Sunday we packed up adn ehaded down to Clark Lake to visit with my mom's family. I was nervous so go because it is 2+ hours each way and I was afraid that that would be too much for the kids in one day (almost 5 hours in the car). BUT, they did awesome. Both slept the wile way down and the whole way back up!

Blake playing there...
(he looks sad, but he wasn't. He was a good boy all day long)

When we got back to my parent house on Sunday night, Ryan's family came over. My dad had a TON of fireworks, so it was fun!

Our niece Addy enjoyng her s'mores!

Blake isn't a huge fan of sweets...so he wasn't sure about it!

He was more interested in his toys!

Aunt Sue and my mom. My Aunt Sue was visiting from North Carolina!

Addy with Grandpa Dan (Ryan's dad)

Blake and grandpa waiting for the fireworks

Monday was another beautiful day and we just spent the whole day at the lake. Ryan's family all came over to my parents. We swam, and a bbq, and went out on the boat.

Livi enjoying the day :)

Dylan's 1st Birthday Party!

On Saturday Blake and I attended one of my besties (Erica) son Dylan's 1st birthday party. It was lots of fun! I cant believe that Dylan is one already. It seems like he was just born! Time just goes so fast.

Dylan got LOTS of goodies...and Blake really enjoyed all of the festivities. It took him awhile to warm up to the crowd, but once he did he was just fine!

Birthday Boy...
Enjoying all of the attention (and gifts)!
Blake decided that he was going to get right in the mix. Here he is sitting on Dylan's dads lap during the unwrapping of the gifts!
Dylan and Blake...little buddies :)
Blake enjoying some party snacks!
Dylan dove right into the cake like a big boy. He just picked it up and ate it like he did that every day!! He barely made a mess at all...
Since the "party" Blake has decided that he is ALL about partying. When we pulled in at church on Sunday morning he said "we're at the party"...haha, so cute!! He wore a new coat to the party as well...and now refers to it as his "party coat"...
