Michigan weather has taken a drastic change over the past week or two!  Fall is in full effect.  Its a little crazy...COLD in the morning (30-40) and then pretty nice by the time I get out of work (60-70).

CMU for the Win!!

This weekend I traveled to Iowa for work for the CMU vs. Iowa game.  I go because I am responsible for the pre-game tailgate party.  We invite our alumni from all of the surrounding states!

 

Iowa was just a 1 hour plane ride, so we rode the charter flight with the team.  We left on Friday and were back on Saturday...quick trip!

 

We went to Iowa with nothing to lose, and little hopes. We are a MAC team and Iowa is Big10.  We were a little out of our league...

 

BUT, to our excitement and Iowas surprise...we WON!  It was very exciting.  Right down to the wire!

I had the privilege of watching the game from the sidelines...so we were right next to all of the action!!

 

The stadium sure did clear out fast...I think that the Iowa fans were a little shocked!

Great win for CMU...and make for a fun trip for me!

Detroit Tigers Caravan!

I am enrolled in a leadership course through our Chamber of Commerce. We meet once a month on a Friday for a year. This past Friday we had our meeting and I got to go an meet/listen to some of the Detroit Tigers! If you are not a Tigers fan, or not in MI this is not a big deal to you...but we are big Tigers fans so this was pretty cool!! The event was "by invitation only" so only 200 people in the community got to attend. I was SO close to them. I took pictures of a few of our fav players...

Tigrer's Game!

Last Friday was CMU Night at Comerica Park...one of my annual events for work. We had about 700 CMU Alumni at the game. It was a prefect night for a ball game...and the Tigers won!!

Prior to the game we had a CMU gathering, so I had to work that...but once the game started I was able to relax and enjoy.

Ryan had to stay home at the last minute because Blake was sick and fussy, so he didn't want to leave him with his family. Poor Ry...I will have to take him to another game soon!!
