Really quick....

I have been a bad blogger...and don't have much time to post today...however wanted to post a few pictures that I took on Saturday night of the sunset. The sky was awesome...hot pink!!

We had a good weekend..I had Friday off, so I am busy catching up at work today. Hopefully I am feeling back on track tomorrow! I have lots of pictures of our nice Addy's 1st birthday party to post. Blake had a great time celebrating with cousin Addy :)

I am headed out to dinner tonight with the fam. Sister leaves tomorrow to move back to Colorado. I don't think that it has hit me yet...but we sure will miss her :(

Exploring the Outdoors...

Yesterday was Blake's last day of swimming lessons....he 'graduated' and got his certificate. His instructor noted that he did and "awesome job going under water"...and that overall he was an "excellent swimmer"....I feel like he did come a long way in 8 short lessons. Now we are looking forward to the summer!!

After dinner we went out and played in the back yard. Blake has a slight obsession with his new shades that his nana got for him!!
He LOVES being outside. Its great....but kind of a pain at the same time....when it is time to head back inside he pitches a fit! He is becoming very stubborn! yikes.

maybe its time for another hair cut, huh? you can really see how long it is with the sun glistening through it..ha! I have such a hard time cutting his sweet curls off...but I realize that I have to!

It is supposed to be 80 and sunny here today. Too bad I am working ALL day. I have to head to an event tonight....so wont be home until 8 or 9 p.m. OH well....maybe Ry can take B to the park...or get some yard work done (as you can see in the pics the lawn needs to be mowed for the 1st time this season)!!

Dreary Days...

Well, we sure have had a coupe of dreary days here in mid-MI. It is so dark and wet...just makes you want to stay in bed...but I guess that isn't an option!!

I took this picture yesterday evening at about 6 o'clock. Look how foggy it was! You can barely see the soccer team across the street practicing at the park!!
Wet, wet, wet....it rained on and off all day....and was still rainy this a.m. when we woke up. I hear that it is supposed to rain for another day or so and then hopefully we see some sunshine!!

Until the sun pops out...this is what we will be doing....just looking out the window! Can't wait until we can get back outside and into our evening walking routine. Ryan has still been running outside...but it is just way to damp for Blake and I to get out there :)

This rain will green everything up though...that is the only good news to come out of it! I bet we will need to mow the lawn for the first time of the season after this!! That means summer is on the way!!

Easter Sunday

We had a really nice Easter weekend. The weather was nice and we had plenty of time to spend with both sides of our family! On Saturday we celebrated with my parents and sister. On Sunday we woke up, went to church, to brunch at my parents house, and then to dinner at Ryan's parents. It is so nice to have everyone so close so that we can celebrate with everyone!

We practiced with eggs all week...but when Easter came and he found these in his basket the eggs we of NO interest to him...maybe next year!!

I am going to try to work on taking some better pictures now that it is nicer outside...I just need to figure out how to get Blake to stay in one place for long enough for me to get the camera in focus!!

Oh the difference a year makes....

We have been thinking about Easter this week...and that made me think about our last Easter. Blake was only 4 months old. Wow has he come a long way. He is such a little boy now..and not a baby at all. Kinda sad...but very fun at the same time.

We had JUST started feeding Blake rice cereal. Now he eats anything that we give him!!

This year Eater is going to be much different!! Blake has been "practicing" hunting for Easter Eggs all week. I got some of the plastic ones out and he loves to find them and carry them around....and then hide them in a new space. He is going to be sad when I put them back in the basement!

It is so beautiful outside today...hopefully it stays this way for the weekend!! My mom took Blake out for a little walk this morning...and then when I dropped him off at his daycare after lunch they were playing outside. How nice to get some fresh air!!

Changing of the Seasons

Spring has sprung here in mid-Michigan. The ice is off the lake...so that means that the dock is in! On Sunday we went to my parents house and helped to get the dock in the water (well....Ryan, not me).

Blake really enjoyed being outside. I am so glad that he likes it because we spend tons of time outside when the weather is nice.

Here he is exploring the yard. My dad likes to be the first house with the dock in the water..you can see the neighbors in the background is still up on the beach! We beat them :)

My sister watched from inside the house...it wasn't quite warm enough for her yet....but Blake went up on the deck to check on her!

A walk in the park!

The snow has melted and the sun is out! We can finally enjoy a walk after work. We have been out every night this week. We have a park across from our house and Blake just loves the swing!
Ryan and I have been trying to walk first and then head to the park. Blake just can't wait to get on the swing.

We have to do our walking first, because Blake throws a mini fit when we take him out of the swing, so we have to head straight home then! What a stinker.

I wish that you could hear him. He giggles the WHOLE time. It is the cutest sound in the entire world to me. It makes me laugh just listening to him.

The allergy meds don't seem to be making much of a difference for poor Blaker yet, but it has only been two days. He is still congested, however the cream that we are putting on his face has cleared up the redness...so that is good! One more day till the weekend!! Yay.

HELLO Spring!

We are so ready for spring in our household!! Blake has been loving being outside...I just can't wait until we don't have to get him completely bundled up before heading out! These pictures were taken a week or so ago, so the snow is gone now...thank goodness!!

He is a busy little dude. The minute that he gets outside he takes off! Almost running....hahaha.

It is crazy to us now, he seems like such a toddler and not a little baby anymore.

We had a great weekend...but they always go so fast. Here we are at Monday morning again already. Oh well...

It is supposed to be up in the 50's this week so we are looking forward to getting outside for some more walks after work this week.
Blake has his 15 month checkup tomorrow morning...so I will be able to post his stats after that!
