Where is the time going...

I am just sitting here planning a birthday party for my babies...I just cannot believe that in 2 short weeks I will have a 4 year old and a 2 year old! I love watching the grow up, and they are getting much easier...but it all just goes by SO fast.

Seems like we were just having a b0day party for their 3rd and 1st b-days!

 

On that same note...I cannot belie how long it has been since I blogged.  I have a little stock-pile of pictures and stories to post...so I am hoping to get back into the swing of things soon!

Favorite part...

All in all, I think that Liv's favorite part of her very 1st field trip...was the BUS RIDE!!

 

She was giddy with excitement.  I think that the feeling of freedom of NOT being in a car seat was crazy for me (and I have to admit...I was feeling a little crazy myself...crazy anxious.  No car seat, ugh!!)

Liv was on a mission to pick the perfect pumpkin.

I had to convince her that she probably didn't need a pumpkin that was bigger than her :)

She had her sights set on this huge one here...but she did eventually change her mind!

Another 1st

We had another 1st this week!!

Olivia had her 1st field trip at school.

She took her 1st bus ride to get there.

 

They went to the pumpkin patch. I (of course) went with her and her class.

It was adorable.

 

She was ecstatic on the bus. 

That was probably her favorite part.

 

I just loved watching her interact with her friends.

Fall is in the air!

It is definitely fall in Michigan!  We are waking up to cool temps, there is a nip in the air, and the trees are starting to turn colors!

 

Here is my front porch..the beginning of my fall display.  We grew the gourds!  The pumpkins didn't take this year, so this is one that Liv got on her field trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  The mums should be in full bloom soon too!

 

And this is a view of our back yard!  The trees are starting to change.  This is our first fall in this home...but I bet that this is going to be beautiful in a couple of weeks!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I am LOVING that Blake is such a sweet, caring, SMART boy.  I never have to worry about his behavior at school...makes a mama proud!!

As always I am loving being a mom to this sassy, pretty, energetic little sweetie.  I am not loving that she fell down and got this boo-boo on her nose.  But she is still as beautiful as ever!!

I am Loving that my sister is getting married in ONE week.  We are leaving for Vegas next Wednesday...and she will be getting married on Friday!  More than anything, I am really just LOVING that she is so happy.

As a bonus to that, I am LOVING that we get to go to Vegas....and that we get to stay at Mandalay Bay - where the wedding will be :)

Giddy Up!

The Fall Fun just doesn't stop around here!!

 

On to the pony rides.  Although....I would not call this GIANT HORSE a pony!  Blake was definitely the smallest boy in the pony line.  All of the BIG kids (like maybe too big to ride a pony) took off to the itty-bitty baby horsies...and left this giant to my Blaker.  He didn't mind!  He climed up like it was no big thing at all!!

 

He got up and whispered (ever so proud) "I don't need help." 

OK big boy!!

He was in heaven. 

The minute that the horsies took off he said in a loud and proud voice....GIDDY-UP!

The pony-attendant-girl was cracking up.

 

He proceeded to "Yee-Haw" and "Giddy-Up" the hole time.

It was great.

Then he busted into a live version of "Ridin' the Range" from one of his favorite shows, The Backyardigans. 

 

He got off...and was walking with his chest all puffed out :).

He said "I wish I had my cowboy hat."

We have a natural on our hands!

 

And once again...Poor Liv is just too young.  But she did get a kick out of watching!!

And now on to the train...we have a little conductor on our hands!!  Chooo-choo!!
