Before I was a Mom....

I recieved this e-mail yesterday and I thought that it was cute...and true! I had a great mother's Day yesterday. I was totally spoiled...and will post pics and post about it tomorrow. I hope that all of my mom-friends had a great day too!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom

Hot Rod

My dad got Blake this "Hot Rod" for Christmas...and it is finally getting warm enough for us to go outside and use it! It is a little peddle car. Blake is starting to get used to it...but it will take a bit of practice to master it! He looks so cute cruising around the driveway.

Ryan had to give him a little push... He actually calls it his "hot rod"
So cute....

Hopefully we get some decent weather this weekend so we can cruise around some more!

Jiggle Challenge Week 5

I did not weigh in last week for the 4th week of the Jiggle Challenge. It was a crazy week with Olivia down at the hospital for her surgery, being off of work with her, etc., etc. (excuses, excuses).....

This week I did go to weight watcher and I weighed in....
and I gained 0.4 pounds! Boo.

I have now lost a total 2.6 pounds during this challenge for a total of 1.69%

**Overall I have now lost 13 pounds since Jan. 19th for a total of 7.94%

With only a few more weeks left in this challenge...and a few more week before swimsuit season, I need to kick my weigh loss into gear. I am setting a goal for myself to lose 1 pound per week for the rest of the month of May. I weigh in at WW each Wednesday...so I have until then to shed the next pound.

I am loving that the sun is shining today! We have been having some gloomy rainy weather lately...so the sunshine REALLY brightens my day and puts me in a good mood!

I am loving that my mom is picking me up at work today and taking em out to lunch! My days are always better when I get to go out to lunch with my mom!
I am loving my husband...and all of the work that he does for our family! Yesterday he mowed the lawn for the first time of the season. What a chore...but it looks (and smells) great!
I am loving this crazy boy and esp. the fact that he is back to being a champion sleeper! We went through a little phase last week, but he is back in the routine of sleeping from 8pm to 8am! And he has been waking up HAPPY!
I am loving this little angel. I cannot get over what a relief that it is finally knowing that she is healthy and going to be OK! It is like a huge weight has been lifted off of my chest. I didn't realize how much it had been weighing on my mind until we recieved the great news last week!
I am loving being a mom to these two great kids! I am looking forward to Sunday and my 1st Mother's Day as a mother of 2!

Easter Pictures

Here are a few pictures from Easter. I am late in posting them...and have a few more that I will post soon!! I feel like I am late in everything right now! I am running and running and just can't quite catch up! Hopefully things will slow down a bit soon and we can get back into our regular routine!

Grandpa Bill's Birthday Dinner

When we were in Florida we were able to celebrate my Grandpa's birthday! It was so nice to have everyone together to celebrate. Above he is giving a birthday speech! :)

It has been a long time since so many of our family members were together...probably since my wedding in sept. of 2009! Hopefully we won't wait so long to get together again. It is hard because we are all so spread out across the country....but so fun when we get together!
