Taylor Marie is 4 months old!!

My littlest is 4 months old already.  How does that happen so quickly?
She continues to be the best baby in the entire world (maybe I am biased).  She NEVER cries, always smiles, and just lights up our lives!
She is smiling, laughing, grabbing things, coo’ing.
She wakes up once or twice a night, but just to eat.
She wears a size 2 diaper.  Size 6 mo. clothing.  She eats about 3-4 oz. about every 3-4 hours.
She had her 4 month well visit this week and weighed in at a whopping 15lbs. 9 ox. (75th percentile).  Her head measured 16 1/8 (25th percentile) and she was 25 ½ inches tall (50th percentile).
We just love this little muchkin!!

Pregnancy: Week 32

DATE: April 26, 2013

How far along: 32 weeks

Total Weight Gained: 25 pounds

How big is baby?By now, baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long. Gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to the baby. In fact, he/she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Maternity Clothes:  of course

Sleep: ehhhh….could be better, could be worse.  I wake up a LOT to go to the bathroom.

Best Moment of the Week: Had a dr. appt. last week.  I was in and out of there in NO time…and everything is still looking good.  Measuring right on target this week.  BP is good.  Really nothing exciting to report!

Movement: oh yes….always!  When I lay down for bed it seems to be CRAZY time for the baby.

Food Craving: Nothing in particular…just an unusually large appetite!  I could just eat and eat (and I have been)

Food Aversions: none

Morning Sickness: nada

Gender: don’t know that time!

Symptoms: I pulled my back out this week, so back and neck pain.  Also having lots of pressure and some cramping.

What I miss: being slim and sleeping through the night!

What I'm looking forward to: Only 56 days (or less) to go!

Pregnancy #3: Week 25

DATE: March 8, 2013

How far along: 25 weeks

Total Weight Gained: 12.2 pounds…..really starting to gain/grow now!

How big is baby: The structures of your baby's spine are beginning to form while the blood vessels of the lungs develop as well. Also, his nostrils are beginning to open. Your baby now has fully formed fingerprints and his bones are continuing to harden. If your baby were delivered now it would have a chance of surviving due to some great advances in medicine. The premature baby could survive in an incubator for few months. Her taste buds are forming, and she may be developing a weakness for sweets. He/She is about 13 inches long and weighs a pound and a half.

Maternity Clothes:  Yes!  I still squeeze into regular pants now and then….but it is getting harder.

Sleep: Good…..but I am majorly congested, so that hasn’t been ideal.

Best Moment of the Week: Hmmmm…..it’s been a pretty good week overall…nothing earth shattering

Movement: yes…he/she is QUITE the mover…always flipping around.

Food Craving: oh just EVERYTHING…I am hungry…and just could eat and eat (this is NOT a good sign)!!

Food Aversions: none really

Morning Sickness: nope….

Gender: Not finding out…

Symptoms: nasal congestion…

What I miss: wearing my “skinny” clothes I guess

What I'm looking forward to: Dr. appt. on Monday.  Only time that going to the dr. is fun is when you are pregnant!!  Love hearing the heartbeat!

Pregnancy #3 - Week 19

DATE: January 25, 2013

How far along: 19 weeks

How Big is Baby?  Baby is the size of a mango!  At about 6.0 inches long and weighing in at about 8.5 ounces.  Working on his/her five senses. Nerve cells for her sense of taste, hearing, sight and smell are developing in his/her brain.

Total Weight Gained: 3.8 pounds total.  I actually lost 0.6 pounds this week, but that is coming off of my giant gain last week…so I assume that I am just evening out!

Maternity Clothes:  Some pants here and there.  I have a pair of jeans and a pair of black skinnies.  Other than that, still in regular clothes.  I did do a little on-line maternity shopping this week though.

Sleep: good….I was tired this week!  Going to bed earlier than normal.

Best Moment of the Week: Got to watch the little peanut moving around for about 45 minutes during the “big” Ultra Sound!!  Hearing that everything looks great….and that due date remains the same.

Movement: not yet…and I am getting anxious

Food Craving: Mexican, chips and salsa

Food Aversions: none really…just not too much meat.

Morning Sickness: nope!

Gender: IDK…we held strong during the Fetal Survey U/S this week and it is still a surprise!

Symptoms: headaches here and there

What I miss: caffeine…lots of it!

What I'm looking forward to: Feeling movement!

Pregnancy Post: 18 Weeks

DATE: January 18, 2013

How far along: 18 weeks

Total Weight Gained: 4.4 pounds.  (Yes, I gained 3.2 pounds in ONE week.  No, I am not sure how that happened.  I guess my body is just catching up.  My dr. told me this would happen…but I still don’t lie to see such a big gain in ONE week.  Hopefully that tapers off now and I gain at a more reasonable rate.)

Maternity Clothes:  some this week.  I have a pair of Black skinny pants and a pair of jeans that I am wearing.  My SIL is pregnant too…but due on February 14.  I gave her all of my clothes before I was pregnant…so I have to hold out until she gives them back to me!

Sleep: Fine…but my kids are up all night.  Ugh.

Best Moment of the Week: Starting to see a bit of a bump (not sure how I REALLY feel about that, but I am going to embrace it I guess).

Movement: not that I can feel yet…

Food Craving: fruity candy….skittles and licorice.  And ice cream this week too.  This MAY have been a factor in my 3.2 pound gain this week.  Last week I craved fruit.

Food Aversions: none, really

Morning Sickness: none!  Hallelujah.

Gender: IDK…not finding out this time.  I don’t have a hunch yet…

Symptoms: growing belly, itchy skin.

What I miss: caffeine…I’m getting headaches.

What I'm looking forward to: Fetal Survey US next week!

Growing, growing, growing....

Olivia Kay is 2 years and 1 month old today.

First off, I can’t believe that my baby girl is 2.  It seems like just yesterday we were bring the sweet little pink bundle home from the hospital.  Today she is EVERY bit a two year old.

She is in to everything.  I do not remember these “terrible two’s” with Blake.  He was always a pretty well behaved toddler.  Liv is another story.  She is a spit-fire, and you cannot turn your head for one minute.

For example…on Saturday I was upstairs and Ryan and the kids were downstairs.  In a matter of no time at all, she climbed on the kitchen island, put the drain in the bar sink, turned on the water, and started flooding the kitchen.  It is always something with her!

She isn’t ALWAYS bad…she can be the sweetest, cuddly, loveable little thing around.  It makes it hard to be mad at her because she is so darn cute.

She still isn’t potty trained, but we are getting closer I think.  It is probably more my fault than hers…I need to take the time and really focus on it for a few days.

She also isn’t sleeping through the night…again, probably my fault.  I have tried to go with the cry-it-out method…but I have such a hard time.  I can’t lay there and sleep while she is crying…so it is quicker and easier for me to just get up, go in there, and sooth her.  I am working on it though…

Her vocabulary is growing like crazy.  She talks and talks.

She was in the 25th percentile for weight and 65th percentile for height at her 2 year well visit.  She did much better at the doctor this time…maybe her fears are starting to fade.

She is OBSESSED with all thing “baby” (real and dolls).

Her hair is getting so long!  She is in 24 month and 2T clothing.

She will eat anything that you put in front of her…and she would eat all day long if we let her!

We just LOVE this little beauty beyond words…but I will admit, this is a HARD age.

~Love you Livi Kay!!~
