BIG news!

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care…..yep, that’s right, all THREE of them! Ryan and I are excited to announce that baby #3 will be joining our family in June!

 

1.What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before? Got married!

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I did…I lost all of my baby weight..plus a little. I need to figure out a good, attainable goal for 2010.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? YES! Lots of babies in 2009

4. Did anyone close to you die? No one that was real close…thankfully!

5. What places did you visit? Jamaica, Florida

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? A better workout routine (or more time to work out)

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Sept. 26, our wedding!!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Raising our son…he changes SO much in one year!

9. What was your biggest failure? Hmmmm…..not sure that I would consider anything a FAILURE….maybe a few choices that I would change, but nothing major!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nope! Knock on wood!

11. What was the best thing you bought? We bought a truck for Ryan

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My hubs! He graduated and got a GREAT job!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? John and Kate Gosslin…HAHA….no one that I know in person :)

14. Where did most of your money go? Diapers and formula…ha! And house payments.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to Jamaica and our wedding!

16. What song will always remind you of 2009? I’ve Got a Feeling….totally one of the best songs of 2009…and now it is in my head!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier
b) thinner or fatter? Thinner…since at this time last year Blake was 2 weeks old!
c) richer or poorer? Richer…since Ryan is done with school and working!

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Relaxed…enjoyed the moment…stopped thinking about the future and started living in the present!

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? stressed

20. How did you spend Christmas in 2009? With our families…best place ever!

21. Did you fall in love in 2009? I fell MORE in love with Ryan than I already was…and I still do even more every day…awwwwwwww (haha)

22. What was your favorite TV program? The Bachelor, Big Brother, Biggest Loser

23. What did you do for your birthday in 2009? I don’t even remember…try to forget the older I get!

24. What was the best book you read? Twilight saga! I am on book 3 now!

25. What did you want and get? Oh lots…I am lucky like that!

26. What did you want and not get? A new car…but I don’t NEED one..and Ry did…so I am happy for him!

27. What was your favorite film of this year? The Blind Side

28. Did you make some new friends this year? Yes lots! I’m so thankful for all the old and new friends!

29.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Oh man…we were very blessed in 2009…maybe just winning the lottery!

30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? I dress very ‘young-professional’ for work…and have gotten lots of new clothes and I shed the baby weight!

31. What kept you sane? My family

32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I am pretty obsessed with celebs and reality TV…but I can’t pick just one!

33. What political issue stirred you the most? I try not to get worked up about things that I cannot control…

34. Who did you miss? Lots of friends who I don’t see as much…but our lives have changed since we had a baby….

35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
2009 was the best year of my life! I got to spend it with my awesome family and married the love of my life. Through planning a wedding, raising a baby boy, working full time, and everything in between…I learned not to sweat the small stuff…and enjoy each moment!!

Tomorrow a.m. I am back to work. 16 days off went SOOOO fast. I souldnt complain b/c not many ppl. get that much time off of work...but I am just not ready to go back!! Oh well!
My mom is watching B again tomorrow and then Tues. he will start daycare. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I think that it will be good for him.

It is SOO cold. The temp read 6 degrees today...burrr!!

Hopefully it warms up a tad :)

New Truck!!

Ryan got his new truck today!! He is PUMPED! It was a long process..he did LOTS of research and looked at lots of trucks and found exactly what he was looking for.

Thank goodness for my daddy who helped us and was with us all day making sure that we were getting the best deal. AND thank goodness for my mama who babysat Blakers all day. It would have been a nightmare to take him with...he is pretty feisty these days!!

I am excited for NYE tomorrow night. We are having a little party and then heading out to ring in the new year. 2009 has been the BEST year of my life. I have SO much to be thankful for...

I am too tired to post anything of substance...I have been a crank ALL day. I need to go to bed. I had a dentist appt. this a.m. b/c a filling fell out, so that started my day off on the wrong foot.
Ryan is truck shopping and may have found THE ONE...so we are off tomrrow to check it out and maybe bring it home!! If so..I will post some pics tomorrow!!

Back to normal...

We have been BUSY today taking down the Christmas Decorations. I think that the house is back to normal....except the outside decs, but it is FREEZING outside..so those will have to stay for a bit.

Blake has been a pistol! He would NOT nap at all, but was super fussy all a.m. I finally got him down and he has been napping now for almost an hour (thank the Lord above!!!).

Ryan is out shopping for a new truck with my dad. We are hoping to get one picked out and purchased this week while he is on vacation. He NEEDS a new truck...so this is exciting!!

We rearranged the guest BR this a.m. (all before 9 a.m....whoa). When Blake wakes up I think that we are going to head out at try to buy some shelving units to organize Blake's new toys.

Sure is noce being productive on your day off!! Yay....

Weekend Wrap-Up

Sitting here on Sunday night feeling awesome...because I don't have to go to work tomorrow morning...or ALL week for that matter. YAY...and Ryan too...I am SO pumped to have the week off.

Christmas was awesome for our family. We are SO blessed and got spoiled with gifts and lots of time with BOTH of our fams. It is SO nice that our parents both live close to us, so we can spend time with everyone.

Christmas Eve was spent with Ryan's fam. Then we spent the night at my parents and Christmas Day there...Ryan's fam joined us there for the evening.

Saturday and Sunday were relaxing days. We unpacked the goods...organized our stuff....and spent time together!!

Tomorrow I am going to work on rearranging the guest br to make it a dual room, 1/2 guest br and 1/2 playroom. One day this week we have to head to the mall and make a few exchanges...and then celebrate NYE.

I actually LIKE wrapping presents, so I have been wrapping them as I buy them...and I think that we are DONE! I am waiting on one more present that I ordered on-line that hasent arrived yet. Hopefully it comes tomorrow..if not...looks like it will be a late present for my MIL. Oops....

We went to a Christmas Party at lunch at my dad's shop today...then my mother, Blake and I went to wally-world for a little shopping. He only napped for a bit in the car...so he was FUSSY tonight. Ryan is trying to get him down for a short nap now, because we have to go to his cousins high school basketball game tonight. If B does nap it will be a nightmare!

Walking in a winter wonderland!!

We finally got some snow! Yesterday we woke up to about 6 inches…and it is still coming. I love it. I was really excited to finally get some winter weather. It is VERY cold though. I could go for a little bit warmer weather….but keep the snow here! I heard on the radio this a.m. that today was going to be -6 with the wind-chill…and that it would get down to -14 with the wind chill overnight tonight! BURR!!

Ryan is getting is wisdom teeth pulled this afternoon. He seems to think that it will be no big deal. Lets hope so…because we have a BUSY weekend.

Sunday we are having the family dinner since that is Blake’s actual b-day!

Christmas Photo

I got Blake's Christmas picture back yesterday! He just loves getting his picture taken....and these turned out pretty cute. NOW...I have to get started on sending some Christmas cards out. Hard to believe that we are just a couple of weeks away.

On another note...we woke up to about 6 inches of snow this morning. All of the local schools are canceled. Even the community college is closed!! I, however, am still at work. Boo. We rarely close, because many students live on campus, or very close and don't have to drive. We are under a winter weather advisory until Friday...so I am hoping to get MORE snow! I just love it....for now. I am sure that I will be sick of it by January :)

Dickens Christmas Festival

This past Saturday we headed downtown to our towns Dickens Christmas festival. They have a lighted parade, horse drawn carriage rides, a live nativity scene, and more. it was a perfect night. Snow falling and chilly!! Actually...maybe a tad cold, but what do you expect for December in MI. It was high 20's or low 30's...so nothing that we couldn't handle!

Weekend Re-Cap!

On Friday we headed down to Ford Field for the MAC Championship football game. We WON…so that was exciting. Go Chips! My mom, dad, sister, Tony, Ryan and I all went down. The night was fun…but then on the way home we got in a giant traffic jam for over an hour…it was a total bummer….but OH WELL.

Blake stayed with Ryan’s parents…they said that he was a pistol and wouldn’t sleep well…

On Saturday night we took him downtown to the Dickens Christmas Festival. He loved the lighted parade and all of the festivities. It was a perfect night with big snowflakes falling. I have pics, but have not posted them yet…will upload soon!

On Sunday I went shopping with my mom and sister while Ryan and Blake hung out at home. We got TONS of things for both Blake’s birthday and for Christmas. It was a GOOD shopping day :)

Another busy weekend that went by too fast…

NOW, only 2 more weeks of work before 2 weeks off!! YAY.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

We got the tree up yesterday...and most of the decorations out. We still havea little work to do, but the majority is set!!

NOW, the hard part is keeping Blake out of the tree and the bulbs out of his mouth!! Yikes...
