New House - Master and Foyer

I few more pics of the *new house for your viewing pleasure!

My mom and dad got be this new bed set for my birthday (which was on Friday).  Love it!!

Master bedroom....

Still have some work to do with decorating this room..but it's coming along :)

 Foyer...got a new rug, bench, BIG mirror.  Love how this is all coming together!!

I still have not painted a single wall....I am just not sure what colors to go with.  So for now...it's a big blank canvas!

We have a room in our "new" house that is nothing more than a mudd room.  It is just off the garage entrance...and since we moved in I have just been shutting the door and forgetting about it.  Well...I think its time to put the room to use.

Now I just need to see if this is something that my handy hubby can make.  I have dropped a few subtle hints.  OR, maybe they weren't so subtle.  I repeatedly e-mail him this picture.  Hopefully soon he gets the "hint"!!

New house - Family Room

Now that I am posting again..I will start revealing some of our new house to you all!!  We have been in the house for 4 months or so...and it is starting to feel like home..although, we still have a long way to go.

Here is a BEFORE picture of the family room...this room is off of the kitchen, and were we spend quite a bit of time.

Here are some AFTER pics.  HA, we really haven't done TOO much.  I am not ready to paint the walls yet, because I am not sure what color to go with.  I figure we will live here a year or two and then tackle each room, one at at time.

We did get a new couch and love seat.  Also a new area rug.  The rest of the decor was from our old house, but fits well.  The doors walk out to a back deck.  

The kids spend a lot of time in here, so the hard wood floors are nice for quick pick up!

I still need to decide about window treatments for this space.  I don't want bulks curtains...I like how bright this room always seems.

 I still need to get a chair/ottoman for that back corner.  I am hoping to find a perfect "statement piece" to fit there.

We also need to:

-Change the ceiling fan out (it is a lovely black/gold combo now....ick).

-resurface the fireplace.  We are not fond of the marble look to it now...but honestly, it isn't too high on my priority list...someday!

Well....it's mine now! Not exactly...but just how I wanted it. I sent the picture to my dad, and he sent it on to one of his employees, and he built it for me. The over the washer/dryer until makes the room look so much better...and more functional too!!I just have a little more decorating to do...but you can get the point. Love it.
Now on to my next project!! :)

This will be mine!

I had pinned this on Pinterest a while back when dreaming about my new house. Well...house with BIG laundry room has become a reality....and this unit to go over the washer and dryer is becoming a reality as well. I had asked my daddy if it could be built...and sure enough, it can :). Last night on of my dads employees came over to get the measurements!

I have been SO bad about taking pictures of the house (or anything for that matter), but I promise to get better....starting NOW. I will take some before pics of the laundry room, so you can see the transformation taking place.

So exciting!

I cannot believe that it's MARCH 5!

The last month has been a crazy blur. We closed on our new house February 1…and he past month has been full or moving, packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, cleaning, buying, etc. I think that the end is in sight, we are hoping (crossing fingers) to move into our new house after this weekend.

I will feel so much better being in ONE place. Our new house is starting to look like HOME with our stuff (new and old) in it. I just can’t wait to be settled.

Obviously with the move to the new house comes the {freak out} about selling our current house…but I am just going to try to stay positive and hopeful about that.

In the midst of the craziness…this little beautiful girl is growing and changing SO much….and I just LOVE her!

New House

The new house is taking over my thoughts and taking up my time! I haven't had much time to post...but am looking forward to showing you what we are doing with the house soon!

Things are starting to come together. We are hoping to actually move within the next couple of weeks!

New House - Before Pics

We have had possession of our new house for 5.5 days now. I am more and more excited every single day. We have spent the past few days cleaning and preparing the house to move! I haven't really taken any pictures, but I stole a few from the listing to share with you!! The house is such a blank canvas right now. SO plain, and white, and bright. I am excited to put my personal touch on everything!! It is going to be a long process...but we will just go room by room!!


Kitchen. We just purchased a refrigerator today....look at all of the space!! The fixtures will have to be changed. I am not a fan of the gold....and I have to say that the previous owner loved GOLD....eww.

Foyer/Entryway.....

Family room...off of the kitchen. Again, the gold fixtures will have to go....but it is all going to be a work in progress.

I am so excited!! :)

Movin' on up!!

Well, I can finally disclose the big news that I have been sitting on for months…we closed on our NEW HOME yesterday! I didn’t mention it before, because I was freaking out the whole time that it wouldn’t work out and that I would jinx myself by getting too excited! I am beyond excited about it now! It has been a very long drawn out process. We made the original offer way back in September, but there were a ton of issues with the previous owners…and Ryan and I just had to wait it all out. Well….now it is ours, and we couldn’t be happier!

It is the perfect house for us. Perfect location, close to both of our parents. Perfect house, 2x’s the size we have now with an awesome floor plan. Perfect lot, almost 5 acres! We just have to make it “ours” now. I see LOTS of work on our future…but it will all be totally worth it in the end!
