Married for 5 months!!

Friday was our 5-month wedding anniversary. I am posing one thing that I love about him each month on our anniversary!! I missed posting this Friday in the midst of Blake’s eye situation. (his eye is MUCH better now).
Ry…I love that I can be myself when I am with you!
Sometime I say silly things or act like a total dork, and Ryan just loves me for me! I don’t have to pretend to be someone that I am not with him EVER!! I am so lucky to have found someone that likes me for me and takes the good with the bad!

Eye Gunk....

Yuck...Blake picked up the eye gunk. I am hoping that we caught if fast enought that it won't turn in to full blown pink eye...but the poor kid looks pretty pathetic. I am not sure when this happened. He woke up this morning just fine. He was in a great mood all a.m. I took him to Amy's and got to work. About 2 hours later Amy called and asked if I had noticed any gunk in his eye. Of course I hadn't or I wouldn't haven taken the poor boy to her house. Ryan was already on his way to get him....

Luckilly I was able to get him right into the doctor. Here are Blake and Ryan waiting to see the doc.
Looking out at all of the snow and wind. It is nasty outside today!

Doctor prescribed us some eye drops to clear it up and some more antibiotics to help with his congestion (that he just cannot kick) and his one ear still looks a little off. Poor kiddo.

We are praying that the drops clear up that yucky eye in no time. Doc said that we should see some dramatic differences in 24 hours or less.

This thing sure came on fast...I hope that it is done and gone just as quickly as it came. He looks just terrible in these pictures :(

I pretty much felt all giddy like a junior high girl again as he was singing on Americal Idol last night. What is it about this guy. I mean seriously...he is not drop dead gorg or an amazing singer...but there is just something about him.

he got my vote last night...x 10!

Here is my mother dearest helping me into my shoes...

I wasn't a HUGE fan of my shoes, but they were fairly comfortable, didn't have TOO high of a heal (Ryan isnt the tallest), and you couldn't even see them anyay!

Getting ready to put my necklace on. My MIL bought be a necklace and earings to wear on our wedding day. I wear the necklace quite often now.

My friend Carson helping me. We have known each other since kindergarden! Pretty crazy. We went to school together from K-12th grade. Then on to college together. We lived in the same apartment for a few years too! She is one my my closest and dearest friends :)

This one is hard for me...because I have a LOT of fav tv shows!! But I narrowed it down to the top 2 at the moment :)

1.) The Bachelor....

I have watched the Bachelor all along since the beginning. Some seasons are better than others...but I ALWAYS watch. This season is one of those that isn't so great...mainly b/c I think that Jake is a giant dork...but EVERY Monday I am glued to the tv :)

2.) Real Housewives of OC/NY/NY..etc. I watch them ALL...but the OC is my favorite. Although, the cast sure does change a lot fro season to season! haha....

Blake LOVES dogs...my parents have a dog. A jack russle terrior named Jackie (original, I know). The two of them together are TROUBLE!! haha

Sure enough....if Jackie is going up, Blake is close behind her!!

Blake's new favorite trick is sneaking up stairs. I think that it is time for a gate!!

What’s Up With Us {this weekend}!!

I am SO happy that it is Friday!! This week actually went pretty fast…but I am ready for a couple of days off! We have some fun things happening!

Tonight we are going out to dinner with my family. They (mom.dad.sis) are headed to the movies…but I think that I will stay home with my boys!

Tomorrow afternoon we are hanging out with my friend Erica and her baby Dylan. Yay…might go our to lunch or might just chill out.

Tomorrow night we may head out for a couple adult beverages…not sure yet. Have to see what kind of mood Blake is in and if we have someone to watch him.

Sunday my sister and I are meeting our friend Heather and her baby Gwyneth for lunch…

After that we will probably do the “parent circuit” and see my fam and then Ryan’s.

Lots of plans…but all good ones!!

ummm...can you say boring post..who even cares?! ha...nothing exciting to write about today I guess!!

14 months!!

Blake turned 14 months old on Saturday, and I have yet to do my ‘14 month’ post….so here goes!

Blake has made HUGE progress in the past month. It is amazing how much he changes. You can just see his little brain working! It is great.
He is becoming much more independent. He pretty much walks everywhere. He follows us around the whole house and is in to EVERYTHING.

He was sick quite a bit this past month. Double ear infections and lots of congestion. He was on anti-biotics twice. He is still quite snotty….but we think that is a combination of daycare and winter. Poor kid.

He has quite the appetite now. He eats what we eat pretty much every night for dinner, so that is nice. For breakfast he eats toast, cereal, fruit, waffles, pretty much anything! He still likes to munch on the Gerber Graduate wagon wheels and puffs every once in awhile…but is moving towards all ‘adult’ food.

He still wears the size 3 diapers and weighs in at just over 21 pounds.

He still has 6 teeth. 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom.

Blake is still wearing size 12 Month clothes and size 18 month are just way too big right now.

He still hasn’t had a haircut, but his curly hair is getting LONG and CRAZY! We love it though.

Blake really knows how to get what he wants now and can throw a temper tantrum (YAY…not). He throws his body on the floor and will wail.

He sleeps each night from about 8:00 p.m. to about 6:30 a.m. Not bad I guess!! He has always been a pretty early riser.

Day care is much better now. He likes it at both paces, but the separation anxiety is starting to set in. He clings to me when I leave him. His teachers say that this is very common at his age….and that he is fine after I am out of site. I am sure that this is MUCH harder on me than it is on him!

Overall he is a PERFECT child and we feel so blessed that he is ours! He is the light of our life!!

Bumps and Bruises

The more mobile Blake gets the more accidents he seems to be getting into! Poor thing always has some bump or bruises!! If only we could keep him in a little bubble!

The other day we put him down in his crib...if he is not in the mood to sleep he will POP right back up. Well, he did...and then bumped his head on the railing of his crib....
His 1st black eye....it pained me to look at, but honestly, he didn't bat an eye, and I am not even sure if he felt it!

He thinks that he looks like a tough guy I guess....

I realize with a BOY that this wont be our first ouchie!!
