Pregnancy: Week 36
DATE: November 24, 2010
How far along: 36 weeks
Total Weight Gained: 36 pounds…..I have lost a few pounds this week…but I have been sick :(
How big is baby? By 36 weeks pregnant, your baby is now 5.9 pounds and about 18.6 inches or longer! Baby is still working on putting on weight during pregnancy week 36. While that may not seem very exciting, keep in mind that this is his primary job from now until delivery.
Maternity Clothes: yep!
Sleep: Not good this week. Have been pretty darn uncomfortable!!
Best Moment of the Week: hearing the baby’s heartbeat at my appt. today.
Movement: oh yes….always! Lots of kicks to the ribs. Also having contractions this week. Some painful, some not…but nothing too consistent.
Food Craving: …no appetite for the past couple of days. I have been sick, sick, sick. Can’t keep anything down!!
Food Aversions: This week, lots…but just because of the flu!
Morning Sickness: morning, afternoon, and night!! ha
Gender: GIRL!!
Symptoms: heartburn, difficulty sleeping, LOTS of Braxton hicks contractions…
What I miss: bending over comfortably to put on my socks and shoes!!
What I'm looking forward to: WELLLL….I have an ultra sound on Friday to see what is happening. I measured 34 weeks when I was 32, 34 when I was 34, and now that I am at 36 weeks I am only measuring at 32. Doctor wants to check to make sure that baby is ok. She may be out of room…or not able to grow inside there anymore. This could explain some of the discomfort that I am feeling. Doc says that she is being extra precautions…but wants to make sure that everything looks ok and proportionate. SOOOO, I guess we will have more news on Friday afternoon.
**no pictures this week b/c I was sick and in bed the whole time. No one needs to see that!!

Where did the day go?!

Pregnancy: Week 35
How big is baby? baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in the womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
Maternity Clothes: yep! Actually just had to go buy 2 pairs of work pants yesterday b/c my other weren’t fitting :(
Sleep: could be better, could be worse. Blake is sleeping again…but I am up about every hour on the hour to go to the bathroom!
Best Moment of the Week: hmmmm….not sure, just glad to be one week closer! OH, and I got a bunch of cute bows and headbands for her to wear…I hope that she is a girly-girl like her mama!
Movement: oh yes….always! She’s a mover. The kicking is getting much more painful now. She likes to stick her feet up into my rib cage!
Food Craving: …just an unusually large appetite! Mexican….and grapefruit…
Food Aversions: none
Morning Sickness: nada
Gender: GIRL!!
(I realize that this is not the most flattering outfit...but it is getting harder and harder to dress for work, and I always take these pics prior to leaving for work!)
Symptoms: heartburn, sore hips, difficulty sleeping, LOTS of Braxton hicks contractions…not really painful, just uncomfortable.
What I miss: bending over comfortably to put on my socks and shoes!!
What I'm looking forward to: Dr. appt. next week to hear if there is any progress…and finishing up her nursery!

Dylan's 1st Birthday Party!
Dylan got LOTS of goodies...and Blake really enjoyed all of the festivities. It took him awhile to warm up to the crowd, but once he did he was just fine!
Blake decided that he was going to get right in the mix. Here he is sitting on Dylan's dads lap during the unwrapping of the gifts!

Raising him right....

Pregnancy: Week 34
How far along: 33 weeks
Baby can recognize and react to simple songs...time to start practicing your lullabies! In fact, baby will recognize frequently sung tunes after birth and probably find them soothing. Less cute news: She now urinates about one pint per day. Get the diapers ready!
Sleep: could be better, could be worse. Baby girl moves like a monkey all night long….and now Blake has reverted to staying up all night long. We are having some serious issues the past 3 nights. I am not sure if it is the day-lights savings time change or what…but I think that it is more because this isn’t just getting up 1 hour early…this is UP all night. Making me nervous to add another one to the mix!!
Best Moment of the Week: having my Dr. appt. Doc says that baby’s head is down and in position and ready to go! Hopefully she stays like that!
Movement: oh yes….always! She’s a mover and a shaker!
Food Craving: …just an unusually large appetite! And soup.
Food Aversions: none
Morning Sickness: nada
Gender: GIRL!!
Symptoms: heartburn, sore hips, difficulty sleeping, emotional…..lovely, huh?
What I miss: bending over comfortably to put on my socks and shoes!!
What I'm looking forward to: finishing up her nursery!
