NYE

I cant believe that 2009 has come to an end!! This was the best year of my life so far...and I feel SO blessed. I cant wait to see what 2010 brings.

Tonight we are celebrating the new year with our family and friends. I cant wait!!

I got to spend the whole year with this guy. Blake changed so much and grew into a toddler....

Here I am with my mama...she took care of Blake all year while I was working. How lucky are we?!? He will start daycare next week but my mom will still hang out with him part time. :)

New Truck!!

Ryan got his new truck today!! He is PUMPED! It was a long process..he did LOTS of research and looked at lots of trucks and found exactly what he was looking for.

Thank goodness for my daddy who helped us and was with us all day making sure that we were getting the best deal. AND thank goodness for my mama who babysat Blakers all day. It would have been a nightmare to take him with...he is pretty feisty these days!!

I am excited for NYE tomorrow night. We are having a little party and then heading out to ring in the new year. 2009 has been the BEST year of my life. I have SO much to be thankful for...

I am too tired to post anything of substance...I have been a crank ALL day. I need to go to bed. I had a dentist appt. this a.m. b/c a filling fell out, so that started my day off on the wrong foot.
Ryan is truck shopping and may have found THE ONE...so we are off tomrrow to check it out and maybe bring it home!! If so..I will post some pics tomorrow!!

Back to normal...

We have been BUSY today taking down the Christmas Decorations. I think that the house is back to normal....except the outside decs, but it is FREEZING outside..so those will have to stay for a bit.

Blake has been a pistol! He would NOT nap at all, but was super fussy all a.m. I finally got him down and he has been napping now for almost an hour (thank the Lord above!!!).

Ryan is out shopping for a new truck with my dad. We are hoping to get one picked out and purchased this week while he is on vacation. He NEEDS a new truck...so this is exciting!!

We rearranged the guest BR this a.m. (all before 9 a.m....whoa). When Blake wakes up I think that we are going to head out at try to buy some shelving units to organize Blake's new toys.

Sure is noce being productive on your day off!! Yay....

Weekend Wrap-Up

Sitting here on Sunday night feeling awesome...because I don't have to go to work tomorrow morning...or ALL week for that matter. YAY...and Ryan too...I am SO pumped to have the week off.

Christmas was awesome for our family. We are SO blessed and got spoiled with gifts and lots of time with BOTH of our fams. It is SO nice that our parents both live close to us, so we can spend time with everyone.

Christmas Eve was spent with Ryan's fam. Then we spent the night at my parents and Christmas Day there...Ryan's fam joined us there for the evening.

Saturday and Sunday were relaxing days. We unpacked the goods...organized our stuff....and spent time together!!

Tomorrow I am going to work on rearranging the guest br to make it a dual room, 1/2 guest br and 1/2 playroom. One day this week we have to head to the mall and make a few exchanges...and then celebrate NYE.

Seriously..he is SO fast. I can turn my head to 2 seconds...and he is onto something else! I have tried straightening things up this morning...and this little guy just follows me around making an even bigger mess! His new biggest obsession is throwing things in the tub in my bathroom....he throws ANYTHING that he can find in the tub!

Last week it was the toilet....I think that he is starting to realize that is off limits (the tub is not nearly as gross...but equally as annoying)....

I actually LIKE wrapping presents, so I have been wrapping them as I buy them...and I think that we are DONE! I am waiting on one more present that I ordered on-line that hasent arrived yet. Hopefully it comes tomorrow..if not...looks like it will be a late present for my MIL. Oops....

We went to a Christmas Party at lunch at my dad's shop today...then my mother, Blake and I went to wally-world for a little shopping. He only napped for a bit in the car...so he was FUSSY tonight. Ryan is trying to get him down for a short nap now, because we have to go to his cousins high school basketball game tonight. If B does nap it will be a nightmare!

We’ve been up to….

LOTS! Saturday evening we went to the holiday party at my parents house. We didnt make it to the second party because B was being a pistol. He would NOT go to sleep for us!

We woke up very early on Sunday a.m. I went shopping with Ryan's mom, sister, and our sister-in-law. It was NUTS. I was almost done already...so I didnt have to worry about much. BUT, my MIL was just starting.We did some power shopping. Good thing I wore my tennies because we were literally running around the stores!

Last nigh we went to my work Christmas party at my bosses house. It was a nice party. My parents came in and stayed with B while we were there.

This morning B and I just hung around at home and got some things done. I attempted to go to lunch with my sister, but that was a failure. B did not take a nap before hand, but I thought that he would be ok...NOPE! The service was very slow, so that didnt help. We had to ask for boxes adn come moke and eat. We have never had to do that before. Usually he is so good. I know that he was just tired...he fell asleep the minute that we got in the car.

Hopefully he is in a better mood tomorrow so we can get out and dosome things!

fyi....the babe usually does not nap this early (or at ALL)...but he was up a lot last night...don't know what is happening...and then up super early...so he is back in bed now. too bad it doesn't work like that for the rest of us. we are up with him...then up doing things while he catches up....i guess that is why we can have coffee...and he has milk :P

Starting at 5:00 today I have 16 days off in a row!! I am pumped for a vacation……we…not that we are going anywhere…but a break from work!! Long holidays breaks are one of the perks for working for a University!

We have a bust weekend with lots of parties and holiday shopping planned. Tomorrow night we have 2 parties to attend…one is an Ugly Sweater Party…so I should get some good pictures from that one :)

Blake has been such a good sleeper this week. He has slept for about 11 hours straight every night. He is going down at about 8 and waking up at 7…PERFECT! Let’s hope that he keeps this up now. He has always been a good sleeper….but he had a little phase where he was waking up. The downside to this is that he is not napping much during the day. He is only taking 1 45 minute nap. This makes for a LONG day for my mom who is with him all day this week!

After my vacation Blake will be starting at day care. We have been SO lucky that he hasn’t had to leave the house his whole 1st year. We have had my mom and sister coming to our house to watch him. BUT, now my sister is working as a CAN, and my mom needs a break! She will still be with him a few mornings a week…but other than that, he will be at daycare! I think that it will be good for him. He will get some social interaction and learn some things….I think that he is starting to get bored at home all day :)

We are having a potluck at work today…so it is a feeding frenzy. I am trying to stay away from all of the food! It has already started with freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls this a.m., now that was hard to pass up!! It is pretty hard being on a diet with food EVERWHERE!

Birthday Boy (last time I promise)

I have drug out Blake's birhday posts ALL week...ha....we celebrated all weekend, so I had lots of pics to get up on here. These are pictures that were taken last Sunday, on Blake's actually 1st Birthday!! we had dinner at my parents house with both my family and Ryan's family all there to celebrate.

Our little family...I like this picture...BUT, Ryan's many chest hair is coming out. i am NOT a fan. he keeps it trimmed right down in the summer so I dont notice just how hairy he is...this winter he has been letting it go. I dont get it...he says that some ladies think that it is manly and sexy and that I shoudl be proud that I have such a manly-man..hehe!!
