It's OK Thursday....

IT's OK...

That the Tigers lost last night....there are still lots of games left. C'mon guys!!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a busy/fun weekend...and of course it went too fast.

Friday the in-laws came over for pizza. After dinner I went out to meet up with friends for a 30th b-day party. It was F.U.N. I could have stayed longer...but I was a good girl and came home early since Ry was home with the babies :)

Saturday I met up for lunch with one of my bestest girls, Heather, whom I hadn't seen in way too long. 2 babies each and living 1+ hour apart...that will have and effect on your time together. It was great to catch up and we decided that we need to do it more often!

I tool B to the movies Sat. afternoon. We saw Puss and Boots...free family film festival, YAY. But it was still $14.50 after the popcorn and pop at the concession stand...who can go to the movies and NOT have snacks though?! Not Blake (or his mama :))!

After the movies I took B and Liv to go visit my mama, because my dad was away for the night!

Sun a.m. B and I went to church..he was a chatterbox...

Went to the in-laws for dinner....

All in all BUSY, fun weekend that flew right on by...

Random Reflections

Here are a few thoughts spinning in my head right now-

-I am still trying to get organized, caught up, rested etc. Time is just going SO fast.

-The weekend was great – no concrete plans – but it still went way too fast.

-Blake and Ryan had fun outside ice fishing. Ryan has caught two big fish in the past two weekends (good for him – although I don’t want to eat them )!

-Livi is SUCH a big girl and took big strides (pun intended) with her walking this weekend

-I can’t believe that I am compiling tax information. I feel like I JUST did this. Where did 2011 go?

-Not sure where Blake gets his imagination. He says the funniest things. When he and Ryan were fishing Ryan was explaining the tip-ups and that when there was a flag up, that meant that there was a fish on. Blake said, “I’ve got my eye on the prize, dad.” That just cracks me up because it is not something that we say!!

-I am busy de-cluttering the house…where does all of the STUFF come from!?

-I am so happy that some of my shows are back on TV…gives me something to look forward to at night; Bachelor, Biggest Loser, American Idol, etc.

Jury Duty

I am on jury duty this month....ugh. This is the 1st time in my life that I have ever been summoned, so I shouldn't feel too bummed...but it is such a pain! I have been on for the month of August, and luckilly this morning was the first a.m. that we actually had to report. I was only there for a couple of hours. We went through the orientation, and then they released half of us and I was one of the lucky ones that got to go for the day! I have to call in again this afternoon after 4:30 to see about tomorrow a.m. though! That is the big pain...rememebring to call in, and waiting until after 4:30 to make plans for the next day.

It is just such a pain with the babies. Poor Ryan still cannot lift anything over 10 pounds because of his surgery...so he can't be much help right now. My mom usually babysits the kids on Tuesdays, but she is on juyy duty TOO....what are the odd's!? At least we get to sit there together...but it makes for a major pain working out all of the logistics!!

Shoe shopping....

We are heading to GR this weekend for a wedding. Ryan is in it, so his outfit is already picked out...and since he will be in a tux I need to look good too :). Kinda hard at 20 weeks pregnant. I feel like I am at the in between stage where I look chubby, but not pregnant. SO, looking cute is kind of a challenge. I decided that new shoes were my best bet...since my feet still look the same.

We hardly have ANY stores to buy shoes at in my little town, but I stopped into Payless on my lunch just hoping that maybe they would have something. I found these and they are actually pretty darn cute! They are a satin material...I am just going to wear a black dress, so these should work good. I will try to take some pics of the finished product this week.

AND...I got these for Blake to wear this fall. They were only $7.00. He will look like such a big boy!!

A- My AIR CONDITIONER is set on: 76ish…but it stays MUCH cooler than that in my house. Must have awesome insulation.B- My BEDROOM theme is: not really a theme…just neutral. Dark Cherry furniture with oatmeal comforter and pillows. Mocha walls.C- The CAR in the driveway is: A black Lincoln Zephyr. Mite need to upsize soon.D- My DESK looks: like a work in progress. Lots of files…but organized. And lots of pictures of my Blake. E- The EXACT time I wake up daily is: 7:21. Ry sets his alarm for 4:40, so I wake up briefly with him and then go back to bed until 7:20, unless Blake wakes up before that.F- The FIRST thing I wash in the shower is: my face. G- My GARAGE is filled with: my car, Ry’s truck, bikes, lawn mower, junk…just the usual garage stuff.H- My HOUSE is: Home…
I- If you peeked INSIDE my bedroom you'd see: my unmade bed :(J- My favorite JUICE is: not a big juice drinker…but had lots of apple at the beginning of this pregnancy to settle my tummy.K- The best part of my KITCHEN is: the open floor planL- The LAST person who visited my home was: my mom and dad.M- The last piece of MAIL for me was: junk mail…couponsN- My NEIGHBORS think I'm: who knows…we don’t really speak. They are a little “different”O- If you OPENED my fridge you'd see: 2 gallons of milk (we go through a LOT), pickles, ranch, maybe some leftovers…P- My last house PARTY was: gosh…we haven’t had a party in awhile. I had a girls night party in February…that may be the last time!?Q- A QUICK meal I like to fix is: anything frozen that I can just pop in the oven! hahaR- My favorite ROOM of the house is: don’t really have a fv..but spend the most time in the living room.S- The SHAMPOO brand I use: whatever is on sale…Pantene, Dove, etc. Not that picky.
T- My largest TELEVISION is: in the living room.U- UNDER my bed you will find: dust bunnies…and a box containing all of the cards, notes that Ry has given me since we started dating.V- The last time I VACUUMED was: a couple of days agoW- Looking out my WINDOW I see: no window in my office…boo…that is where I am now.X- I wish I had X-TRA: money….I’d go on a shopping spree :)Y- My YARD is: looks better this year than it has ever looked before…thanks to Ryan!Z- ZZZZZZZ My bedtime is: around 10. I usually fall asleep between 10 and 10:30.

I've been a bad blogger....

I just haven't been posting lately....or taking ANY pictures. Not sure what it going on. Guess I am in a funk.
SO...what have we been up to?

• Celebrated my mom's birthday on Monday! We to lunch at her fav restaurant...we are still planning on dinner sometime, but have been so busy.
• Blake turned 17 months last Thursday...and I didnt even do a post!! (bad mama)
• Blake and I got our pictures taken last night. It was a disaster! If the poor photographer got one good picture I will be shocked! I guess Blake just wasn't in the mood!
• Took Blake in for his allergy follow-up today. Doc says he is doing MUCH better...and looks good. We can take him off some of the meds...just going to stick with the nasal inhaler for now and see if that works! Thank goodness.
• I could not believe how much he weighed...23 lbs. 7 oz! That seems so big to me! Doc still wants to keep him on the pediasure for a bit to help with the weigh gain and growth.
• The weather looks like it is finally getting better...so hopefully we can enjoy some time outside!

Totally Random...

I have NOTHING to blog about today...so this is going to be totally random!!

SO glad that it is Thursday, but wishing that it was Friday. Ryan has the day off tomorrow, so he and Blake will be hanging out! My sister has the day off too...I am going to be a Debbie-Downer thinking that I am the only one working! Boo.

I never thought that I would wear skinny jeans...but I do...often...and I like them!! I am all about skinny jeans and boots...but I still don't think that I will be able to pull them off in the spring/summer when I cant wear boots. Some girls look so cute in their skinny jeans and flats...but not this girl!
Blake is feeling MUCH better. He is still a teeny bit stuffy, but nothing compared to what he was a week ago!

My mom is still in Florida *until Saturday*...we went to dinner with my daddy last night. Blake was a pistol when we first got there, and I was about 2 seconds from packing up and leaving with him...but he calmed down and was FINE the rest of the time. Not sure what got into him!

We have an appt. to get Blake's Valentines Day pictures taken on Saturday. I hope that they turn out. I feel like he needs a haircut before the pictures...by Ryan is still really anti-haircut for him!

Saturday night we have a Birthday party to go to. and then Super Bowl Sunday...yay!!

We’ve been up to….

LOTS! Saturday evening we went to the holiday party at my parents house. We didnt make it to the second party because B was being a pistol. He would NOT go to sleep for us!

We woke up very early on Sunday a.m. I went shopping with Ryan's mom, sister, and our sister-in-law. It was NUTS. I was almost done already...so I didnt have to worry about much. BUT, my MIL was just starting.We did some power shopping. Good thing I wore my tennies because we were literally running around the stores!

Last nigh we went to my work Christmas party at my bosses house. It was a nice party. My parents came in and stayed with B while we were there.

This morning B and I just hung around at home and got some things done. I attempted to go to lunch with my sister, but that was a failure. B did not take a nap before hand, but I thought that he would be ok...NOPE! The service was very slow, so that didnt help. We had to ask for boxes adn come moke and eat. We have never had to do that before. Usually he is so good. I know that he was just tired...he fell asleep the minute that we got in the car.

Hopefully he is in a better mood tomorrow so we can get out and dosome things!

Starting at 5:00 today I have 16 days off in a row!! I am pumped for a vacation……we…not that we are going anywhere…but a break from work!! Long holidays breaks are one of the perks for working for a University!

We have a bust weekend with lots of parties and holiday shopping planned. Tomorrow night we have 2 parties to attend…one is an Ugly Sweater Party…so I should get some good pictures from that one :)

Blake has been such a good sleeper this week. He has slept for about 11 hours straight every night. He is going down at about 8 and waking up at 7…PERFECT! Let’s hope that he keeps this up now. He has always been a good sleeper….but he had a little phase where he was waking up. The downside to this is that he is not napping much during the day. He is only taking 1 45 minute nap. This makes for a LONG day for my mom who is with him all day this week!

After my vacation Blake will be starting at day care. We have been SO lucky that he hasn’t had to leave the house his whole 1st year. We have had my mom and sister coming to our house to watch him. BUT, now my sister is working as a CAN, and my mom needs a break! She will still be with him a few mornings a week…but other than that, he will be at daycare! I think that it will be good for him. He will get some social interaction and learn some things….I think that he is starting to get bored at home all day :)

We are having a potluck at work today…so it is a feeding frenzy. I am trying to stay away from all of the food! It has already started with freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls this a.m., now that was hard to pass up!! It is pretty hard being on a diet with food EVERWHERE!

Addicted….

to vampires.
I finally broke down and got the first book of the Twilight series. I guess I just needed to see what all of this hype is about. I told myself if I thought it was dumb I would stop reading it and move on with my life…I mean…vampires?!? C’mon…NOT my thing.

BUT….guess what?!? I am addicted. I am only on like the 6th or 7th chapter…but I can’t stop thinking about getting home and reading more tonight! Is that dorky of me?!?.....probably…..

I guess I see what all of the hype is about….and I am a little behind the times…but I will quickly catch up with the Twilight CrAzE!!

I have to post 10 random facts about me…:

1. I always heard people say “you don’t know what love is until you have a child of your own”….and I thought…well, I think I do, I love a lot…BUT, its true…the minute you see your own little one for the first time, you love more than you ever thought possible!

2. I married Ryan on Sept. 26th. I feel so blessed to have him. He is a great hubby and a wonderful daddy to our baby.
3. If someone would have told me three years ago…that by 2009 I would be getting married and have a child I would have laughed…but now it is a reality, and I couldn’t be happier…I wouldn’t change a thing! I feel very lucky.

4. I am pretty much obsessed with reality TV….you name it, I probably watch it…

5. I graduated with my Masters in May 2009! I am excited and relieved to be done…but I have been in school FOREVER…so not having class/homework/research is so strange!

6. I have never eaten Tuna….or any meat that comes out of a can for that matter. Just not my thing!

7. some people say that I am a bad driver…some call it “aggressive” driving…whatev, I’m OK with it.

8. I add “kins” after some peoples names…just those that I love…such as: Mommy-kins, Daddy-kins, roomie-kins (for ex. Roomies) etc. You get the idea…NOW many of my friends refer to me as Annie-kins…I’ll take it as a term of endearment

9. I LOVE Mexican food. It is def. my fav. When I was preggers I could eat it every day (well at least 4 times/week). Everyone thought that after I had the baby I would never want it again…that didn’t happen. I could still eat it just as often…except for now I CANT…unless I still wanted to APPEAR preggers…no thanks to that!

10. I have a LOT of clothes…my closet is SO full that there is NO room for anything else. (and its not like it is a small closet or anything…it is a walk-in), BUT, somehow I still feel like I have NOTHING to wear! I used to have a small problem with shopping for clothes, it is getting better. Now I have this thing, whenever I buy a new item of clothing, I have to get rid of one item in my closet…swap them out, you know? Since there is no room for any more hangers…

SO...now you know!

Do you remember where you were on 9.11? It is one of those moments in time that we will ALWAYS remember! Every year on this day I think about what a terrible crisis the USA faced that day.

Heading out to meet the musicians for the wedding this a.m. Music will be finalized for the ceremony!

Have a hair appt. this afternoon…’practice’ for the big day :)

Still SO much to do…and still SO little time!

I hope that Blakers pops a tooth….he is hurting…and I am getting anxious to let him try some new foods…he is HUNGRY!
