Olivia's Field Trip to the Children's Museum

 Last week Liv's class went to the Childrens Museum for a field trip!  She loved it of course.  Highlights were riding the bus to get there, playing in the water, running from exhibit to exhibit.  She was just a ball of energy (per usual).

I got to go...and Ryan even stopped in for a bit.  It's fun to see her interact with her friends.  She sure is a social little thing!!

These pictures make me giggle...because it looks like Livi is just so disgusted!

 

Her "school" has a web-site and her teachers post pictures of them throughout the day/week.  I love that they do that.  Typically Liv looks like she is having a blast and I know that she just loves it at school.  She is very social.

A conversation with Blake on his 1st day of preschool

Of course I had to steal this idea from Pinterest...but what a great idea it is.  I plan on asking these same questions to Blake at the beginning of each new school year.

I WISH that I could make these pics straight....but I cant...and I am beyond frustrated now....grrr...tilt your head and look at the cuteness on his 1st day of preschool!!

Notes from mama:

-He really doesn't like strawberries...at all!

-We have never been strawberry picking

-He actually does like peaches

-A cuddling machine?!  really?  no clue where that came from!!

-Blake loved answering these questions and didn't hesitate on any of them :)

Can't wait to hear what he has to say as a Kindergartner...well I can, b/c I don't want him to grow up...but you know what I mean :)

Summer snacking....

Blake and his cousin Addyson enjoying a Popsicle on a hot summer day.  What a mess...but oh so good!

 Blake and Addyson are only 4 months apart, so have been at the same level their whole lives.  They even go to the same school (daycare).  Blake just moved up to the Preschool room and Addy stayed in the Tike room.  I think that they are having a little separation anxiety.  I figure it's good for them to have a little independence though....and Addy will be a preschooler soon enough!!

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Last week Blake's class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch! It just happened to be a rainy, cold day....but we had fun anyway. I got to go too :)

Overall of was a fun trip...dispite the cold and rain! I didn't even think that the kids noticed the weather!!

School daze....

We call daycare "school" around our house....and for all practical purposes, it really is school for Blake. He learns SO much there and it is a very structured environment. We feel very fortunate that they can be at such a great place while we are at work!
Ryan leaves for work at 5:45 a.m., so he is gone before the school rush. I try to get ready and then get the kids ready to leave when I am all set. It works, IF they sleep in...if not, well...we just make it work! Most mornings consist of me RUNNING around like a crazy lady until we are all clean, cute, and ready to go. I never have time to take pictures...but for some reason the other day, I was able to squeeze a few in!!

Sweet Livi is much easier to photograph than Blake, SO I have more of her than of him!! (not because I like her more....I love them both the same :)) My happy girl!!

On a RARE chance that it might work, I asked Blake to stand and pose for me...and he did!! And then he was off again....so this is all I have of him :)

1st day away….

Today my little Livi is 11 weeks old. She also started daycare. I know that it was much harder for me than it was for her. I started back to work full-time yesterday, but my mom watched her. Today I got myself and both kids ready and out the door by 8:00. It takes a bit longer, and I have to get up earlier, but I think that we can do this!

Olivia was ALL smiles when she was getting situated with her new friends and new teacher. I know that she will get PLENTY of attention there. She is in good hands and is at the same facility as Blake. There is only one other girl in the infant room with Livi and the rest are boys…so they are happy for some more pink in the room :)

Ryan stopped in to check on her during his lunch break and reported back with this e-mail:
"Stopped at daycare, Blaker just went down for a nap so I didn’t get to see him. Olivia was wide eyed in the swing, she was happy to see me, smiles the whole time. They said she was great, hadn’t made a peep. She did start a bottle then stopped and wanted it about an hour later, they were wondering if that was normal. She acted like she was getting hungry before I left. She is such a sweetheart."

SOOO….I guess that I am sitting here sad at my desk…and she isn’t missing me at all. That is a good thing though!

I wanted to take a picture this a.m. on her first day, but I forgot. I will get some tonight :)

Blake's 1st Scool Pictures

Blake had pictures taken at school a week or two ago. We just got them back today.....I can't believe how OLD he looks!! My little baby is growing up.

We actually have an appt. to get his Christmas pictures taken this weekend, so we don't need these ones....but they are hard to resist b/c he is SOOO cute!! (of course I am biased b/c he is mine :))

Blake's 1st Field Trip

Blake had his 1st school field trip a week ago Friday. I had to work, but Ryan was able to go with him as a chaperone :). I SO wish that I could have seen him there with all of his friends. Ryan said that he was a good, polite boy and that they had a lot of fun!
They went to the Pumpkin Patch. The kids were able to pick a pumpkin, ride a train, go on a hay ride, go in the bounce house, and have cider and donuts. Ryan said that Blake was patient and waited his turn for everything. This pictures if from his school's web-site. Ryan forgot to take the camera, so this is the only picture that we have!!
