My little model baby....

We got the disc in the mail yesterday containing Blake's pictures from his fall mini-session with Sarrah at Violets Are Blue Photography. I am so pleased with how they turned out. He didn't quite know what to think of the whole experience. In his defense, I don't think that he had ever been in the woods like this before...so it was all so new for him. BUT, Sarrah got a lot of good ones...and she is taking his Christmas pictures this year too, so I am really excited about that!!

Pregnancy: Week 32

DATE: October 28, 2010

How far along: 32 weeks

Total weight gained: 31 pounds…..yup, STILL not kidding!! Ughhhhhhhhh

How big is baby? By now, baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long. Gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to the baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Maternity Clothes: yep!

Sleep: ehhhh….could be better, could be worse. I wake up a LOT to go to the bathroom.

Best Moment of the Week: Had a dr. appt. yesterday. I was in and out of there in NO time…and everything is still looking good. Measuring right on target this week. BP is good. Really nothing exciting to report!

Movement: oh yes….always! Getting very snug in there!

Food Craving: Nothing in particular…just an unusually large appitite!

Food Aversions: none

Morning Sickness: nada

Gender: GIRL!!

Symptoms: heartburn still…but that is just something that I have come to live with in the past few weeks!

What I miss: being slim and sleeping through the night!

What I'm looking forward to: Only 56 days (or less) to go!

Wedding Wednesday

I haven't posed a Wedding Wednesday post in a LONG time....but I haven't taken any pics in a long time either...so this is all I've got today :) I have been slacking in the picture taking dept.

We have been married for one year, one month now...and I still have about 250 professional wedding pics that I have never posted on the old blog. SO....when all else fails, I can post these :)

My little bookworm!!

Blake just loves to read!!

He would read and read and read if he could.

He reads to himself...or lets us read to him!

His school is doing a read-a-thon when they pledge to read 10 books in a month!

UMMM....hello, we read 10 books a DAY!
I have been getting books from the library for Blake.
I get 3-4 at a time.
When I bring them home he is SO excited!
I hope that he always loves to read :)

Halloween costume?! Maybe not.....

I'm not so sure that we are going to be able to dress-up for Halloween this year. Blake wants NOTHING to do with wearing any sort of costume.

I few weeks ago he was obsessed with monkeys...so I thought that would be the perfect costume! He makes the cutest little ahh-ahh, ohh-ohh monkey noise....so I ordered him this costume from Old Navy. NOPE....he wont even let me try it on him without pitching a fit!! Sad, because it is so cute!!
He is also slightly obsessed with cowboys, horsies, hats, etc. so when my mom say this costume she thought that he would love it. Nope...wont have anything to do with this one either!! It is so cute too....but we might not get to use either costume!!

I am hoping that when he sees some other kids dressed up that maybe he will get the concept and want to join in?! I don't know...maybe that just isn't our year!!

Last year Blake was the cutest little pumpkin ever...but he was too young to protest then :)

I just got another sneak peek on facebook of Blake from our photo session with Sarrah @ Violets are Blue photography from last weekend!! I LOVE this face. What a doll baby!!
Blake slept in his big boy bed for the first time ever last night. I wasn't sure if I was ready for him to be out of a crib and into a toddler bed yet....but he wanted to try...and he did GREAT!! He went down when we tucked him in..and we didn't hear from him again until almost 8:00 this a.m. What a big boy!! I heard him moving around a bit this a.m., so I cracked his door, but didn't go in. About 10 minutes later he came walking out just like a big boy! I bet it felt strange for him to not have to call me to get him out of his crib!! I am sad that he is growing up....but happy that he is adjusting to being a "big boy" because we will have a new baby to fill his crib soon enough!! I am so proud of him :)

Week 31 Update!

I realize that I missed my 30 week update! Last week was crazy at work, and this week has been pretty nuts too. Next week things should slow down a bit....that means that my blogging gets better :)

I am 31 weeks today....just 64 days to go!! YAY.

I have gained a total of 30 pounds...YIKES....I still cant believe that I am admitting this on here, but oh well!!

I am having to wear maternity pants all of the time now. I have worn a few maternity shirts, but have been still squeezing into most of my pre-maternity stuff that is oversizes, long, or baggy.
I have been feeling pretty good. Just starting to get hard to bend over, lift my legs to high, etc.
I have some heartburn, but nothing that a couple tums doesn't cure!!
I am hungry for just about everything!! Especially Mexican and fruity candy.

I went to my 30 week appt last week and Dr. said that I was measuring at 32 weeks already. She thought that there would be no way that I would make it til my due date. Blake was 9 days early...and I am hoping for about the same this time :)....hopefully she doesn't get my hopes up just for me to be overdue! I would be so bummed. She asked how big Blake was....kinda made me nervous...Blake was only 6lbs. 3 oz. Hopefully I am not growing a GIANT girl this time!!
I have another appt. next Wednesday so we will see what I am measuring then!!

Getting SUPER excited for this little peanut to make her appearance :)

Sneak peek...

I was SO busy last week at work, that I didnt have a chance to blog at ALL....it was homecoming week, so one of our busiest weeks of the year! I am glad to have that behind me now. Things should slow down at the office after tomorrow!

I worked late on Friday, worked Saturday morning, and then Saturday afternoon Ryan's cousin Trevor got married, so we had the wedding and reception. On Sunday we had an appt. with Sarrah from Violets are Blue Photography to take Blake's fall pictures. He was SO serious for the majority of the session. She did get a little smile out of him by playing peek-a-boo behind a tree....and she posted this cute sneak peek on facebook. I can't wait to see the others that she got :)

These are a few more pictures from our mini-vacay trip that we took back in Sept. I have NOT been good about taking pictures lately...I need to get better! Blake and Ry were just hanging out in the hot tub....could they get any cuter?!? (I don't think so....and that's all that really matters anyway :))

We had a good weekend. Got LOTS accomplished. On Friday night Ryan went hunting, so I took Blake to the SHA homecoming football game. He was a good boy until just after half time..so we left then. When Ryan got home we watched Couples Retreat. Saturday my mom and I went shopping in Saginaw for stuff for both babies rooms. We got LOTS for baby girl, and some for Blake...but his was harder, so we are still searching. Saturday night we just hung out at home! On Sunday we went to Ryan's parents, my parents, and then I had a meeting for work....and then all of a sudden, the weekend is over in a snap!! They sure do go by fast!!

Quite the little talker!

I think that Blake is going to be quite the little talker. His vocabulary is really taking off...and I can't wait to hear what he has to say!! He says the funniest things sometimes!!
The other morning I went into his bedroom to get him up and ready for school....I was rustling around in his closet and he woke up and said:
b: Mama!!!
m: Hi Blake...what are you doing?
b: I night-night mama!!

He was like, Hello....get out of my room, I'm sleeping!!

Today Ryan was cleaning the house while I was at work. He took a bag of trash out and came back in and could not find Blake. He was back in his bedroom on his time-out chair.

r: Blake what are you doing?

b: I out daddy (in a sad voice)

r: Blake, why are you in time-out?

b: daddy....I out (very sad)

r: well when you are ready to come out of time out you can come out here.

He stayed there for awhile and then finally came out. Not sure why he put himself in time-out...but it made him sad!!

When he is sitting on his changing table and I am getting him ready in the a.m. he will say..

b: I fall mama....

m: no Blake, you will not fall

b: mama, I fall

I guess he was listening to us when we told him that he would fall off!! ha

He also loves to say..

b: get away....

b: shoo

he does this while making a "get back" movement with his hands....

I guess he doesn't appreciate ALLL of my kisses!!

He also sings ALL of the time...
