These are a few more pictures from our mini-vacay trip that we took back in Sept. I have NOT been good about taking pictures lately...I need to get better! Blake and Ry were just hanging out in the hot tub....could they get any cuter?!? (I don't think so....and that's all that really matters anyway :))

We had a good weekend. Got LOTS accomplished. On Friday night Ryan went hunting, so I took Blake to the SHA homecoming football game. He was a good boy until just after half time..so we left then. When Ryan got home we watched Couples Retreat. Saturday my mom and I went shopping in Saginaw for stuff for both babies rooms. We got LOTS for baby girl, and some for Blake...but his was harder, so we are still searching. Saturday night we just hung out at home! On Sunday we went to Ryan's parents, my parents, and then I had a meeting for work....and then all of a sudden, the weekend is over in a snap!! They sure do go by fast!!

It's hard to believe that our little family of 3 will be growing to a family of 4 in just (about) 79 days. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Sometimes Blake seems like such a handful and I don't know what we are getting ourselves into.....but more often, I just cant wait to meet our little girl. We love Blake SO much...and I know that adding another baby will just make our home even MORE filled with love!

All of a sudden I feel that we have so much stuff to do to prepare for baby girl. The house needs work! We are planning on moving Blake to a bigger room and converting his current room into the nursery. We only have 11 weeks left!! Oh my.....with the first child we were SO prepared and ready...this time the pregnancy has went so fast. We better get going on that to-do list!!

Weekend Re-Cap

We had a pretty uneventful weekend!! It was nice to not have tons of plans.

Friday-
-I worked late, so didn't get home until after 9:30. My feet were killing me!!
-Ryan went bow hunting
-Blake hung out at my parents until Ryan got done and then we all met back up at home and just went to bed!

Saturday-
-Ryan went hunting again
-Blake and I hung out at home. Blake took a LONG nap and I got some housework done
-Blake and I went grocery shopping. It is quite a production with him now since he talks to EVERYONE that we pass. haha
-We went out to my parents house and had some chili and cornbread for dinner
-Ryan met us there after hunting
-Ryan and I watched Date Night...it was funny, but not as good as I thought that it would be

Sunday-
-We went to Ryan's parents house for an early dinner...his mom is still pretty down and out from breaking her hip. I guess that is to be expected, since it has just been over a week. It will be a long recovery process...poor thing!
-After that Blake and I went to my parents again and Ryan went hunting again
-Came home and got ready for school/work!

needless to say, Ryan did not get his big buck! But, Blake and I had lots of time together over the weekend, and he was just a doll!! He had a hard time getting out of bed this morning for school....but don't we all have a hard time getting up on Monday mornings?! :)

This past weekend we pretty much laid low. I had an overnight Leadership Retreat on Thursday night. Friday I was very tired! We just watched a movie. On Saturday Ryan went fishing, so we spent the night at my parents house. On Sunday my dad raced his car, so we went to the track. I have a few pictures of that that I will post later this week!!

Mini-Vacation (#2)

Blake took it all in from his stroller...for most of the walk....but after awhile decided that he would rather get out and walk it for himself!!

I had a work event last night, so worked a 12 hour day. It was tough getting out of bed this morning :)...thankfully, I feel better now.

I can't believe that it is the middle of September already! Where are the weeks going? We only have 99 more days now until baby girls due date. Down to double digits :) Can't wait.

Mini-Vacation (Part 1)

This past weekend we took a mini-vacation to Northern Michigan. We started out trip at Mackinaw Island. Ryan and I were there 2 years ago. It is actually where Ryan asked me to marry him :)...we were planning on taking an anniversary trip just the 2 of us, however decided that we would rather take Blake with us so we adapted out trip a bit to be "baby friendly"!! We figured that this would probably be our last opportunity to go on a trip as a family of 3!!

I have TONS of pictures of our trip that I would like to get up here on the blog, so I think that I will just post them a few at a time and label them all under our mini-vacation for my reference!

This was taken just after arriving at the island. We took off on Thursday a.m. and drove the 2-3 hours north to catch the ferry over to the island. Blake slept the majority of the way in the car and then was sweet as can be on the (abt. 20 minute) ferry ride. At lunch he was a little bit if a pistol...but nothing TOO bad!!
We kept him occupied with crayons and snacks (or "nacks" as he refers to them as)! Since there are no cars on the island and LOTS of horses...Blake was going crazy at first. He is still slightly obsessed with horsies, so every time a horse and carriage went past the restaurant he neighed like crazy!!

After lunch we took a stroll down the main street on the island. The weather was really nice...cool, but not cold. Much better than the HOT temps we were having. Here is Ryan and Blake in front of one of the inn's.

Again, a little better this time, since he is looking. It has been hard to get a good picture of him lately....he won't look at the camera!!
