Weight Watchers

I haven’t posted about my weight loss in a while…BUT I am still working on it! I have reached my goal…and now I am really just trying to maintain. I am still going to the weekly meetings with my mom, so I think that that is helping me to stay on track. BUT, last night I had a small gain. Maybe if I start posting about it again…I will be motivated to stay on track?

I started back in January after having Blake in December.

Another milestone!!

Earlier this week Blake started to pull himself up! He is pulling himself up on the couch, chairs, coffee table, and anything else he can!! I am so excited for him to be doing this….

BUT kind of sad at the same time. No more decorations on the tables :(….good-bye candles….good-bye pictures….and bye decorative vases and such! OH WELL…

He also started doing a lot of growling...like a dinosaur or something....it is a little creepy and a little silly at the same time...not sure what we think of this new trick yet!

Busy Bees....

Feels like a busy week….I was home from work yesterday with Blake. He had a rough night on Sunday night….but did much better last night. I think the fact that he popped two teeth in a couple if days really threw his system out of whack!

Today I have been busy catching up with work e-mails and such. Tomorrow and Thursday back in the office…and then Friday OFF!! Yay.

I have a party to go to on Thursday night at one of my girlfriends house…we are having a cocktail party at our house on Friday night….and then we have a Halloween party to attend on Saturday night. Should be a fun filled weekend.

I still need to get costumes pulled together for Ryan and I for Saturday night….I have NO clue what to do! I want something simple, cheap, and easy….but something good (in my dreams, right!!).

Here we are two year ago...last year I was pretty preggers and in no form to be dressing up!!

Mr. and Mrs. for one month!

I always blog about our baby, but I rarely blog about my hubby! Today Ryan and I have been married for one month…and this post is all about him!

I can’t believe that we have been married for a month already…that was about the fastest month of my life! We have been together for just over 2.5 years. I feel so lucky to have such a great guy!

On Blade birth date each month I write about what he is doing and how great he is…on the date of our anniversary each month I plan to write about something that I LOVE about Ryan.

SO….I really LOVE that Ryan loves my family so much. I feel so blessed that he is so comfortable around them…and that they have really accepted him as part of our family. We spend a LOT of time together (more than most fams)…so it is GREAT that Ryan is accepting of that and enjoys spending time as a family as much as I do!

I feel like Ryan is like the son that my dad never had. They do things together and have a lot in common. My mom just loves him…and my sister too. He is very much a part of our fam…and has been since day one. I cant imagine what it would be like if he didn’t WANT to spend time with my fam….thank goodness that he does.

I was going through some old pics and organizing my files...and it is CRAZY to see how far Blake has come in the past 10.5 months.

Last night was WAY better on the sleeping front. He was down at about 8:30 and didn’t make a peep until 6:00. I can live with that!

I am just amazed at how big he is finally getting and how much more he can do. We are putting away a lot of the ‘baby’ toys and getting out some new toys that he has been too young for. He is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up onto things. It is all very exciting to see!

This is one toy that he has had since before birth…but just started playing with in the past couple of weeks. Our good friends Aaron and Heather got this for him. Aaron’s family owns an excavating business…so the dump truck is a fitting gift from him!

Blake LOVES that he can sit up on it and that it makes all sorts of noises!

We’ve got a TOOTH!

FINALLY Blake has popped a tooth. 10 ½ months later…I was starting to think that he wasn’t going to have teeth! It is on the bottom…and I have nothing close to a picture of it. He will not let us near his mouth! I can try my hardest…but he is quick…and wants to keep it a secret. We have really only caught a couple of glances of it. However…we know it is there! When I stick my finger in it feel like a razor sharp fang! Haha….poor kid. I can only imagine how that feels in his mouth!

On that same note…we were up ALLL night long last night. AWESOME. He slept in tiny little increments and cried the rest of the time. I know that we have been spoiled…but we are NOT used to this. He has slept through the night since about 3 mo…so this reverting to being up stuff is rough on mama and daddy! Lets pray that it doesn’t last long!

Halloween cuties!

I have already posted Blake’s Halloween picture on my sidebar...but will post it again. Isn’t he just the cutest little pumpkin in the patch?!?!

And here is our niece Addy. She is going to be a little lady Bug for her first Halloween! Too cute.


All of our local schools are closed down here for the rest of the week because of H1N1! I am so thankful that Blake gets to stay home with my mom and sister and doesn’t have to go to daycare! I guess EVERYONE is sick. Keeping my fingers crossed that our little family doesn’t catch the nasty bug!

Burrrrrrrrrrrr!

Summer is most definitely over…and fall is in full swing. It has been so cold! My parents did buy Blake this great little fuzzy outfit to keep him warm and he look SO stinking cute in it!! Plus, I think that he likes wearing it.

I just can’t get over the fact that it is almost the end of October already. We have a wedding to go to this weekend. Then Halloween next weekend…and then it s November and all of the craziness that comes with the holiday season!

VERY windy day!

Is it 5 o’clock yet?!

I am SOOO ready to get outta here (shhhhhhhh….blogging at work again). But, give me a break. 4:05 on a Friday afternoon….boss is out…office is dead quiet! What else am I to do?!

I got the disk with all of our wedding pictures yesterday. I love looking at them. There is a LOT of goodies! I am a bit sad that we didn’t get outside pics (b/c of weather), but there are plenty to choose from and that would have just made me more confused! SO….no biggie I guess.

I will be posting pics on here for the next year b/c there are SO many!

Weekend plans:
-Heading to my parent tonight. My sister is cooking ribs! Yum.

-Tomorrow, nothing planned (for the first time in a LONG time)…maybe I can get my house in order. I still have the spare bedroom packed with wedding gifts that I need to find a home for!

-Sunday heading south to my cousins baby shower. She is having a baby girl in January! After that I will head to the in-laws for little sister Dani’s b-day dinner. She will be 17 on Monday :)

Doctor Visit

Blake had his 9 mo. check up last Thursday (even though he was almost 10 mo :)). I posted his stats on a previous post…but am just now getting around to uploading and posting the pictures.

He is so brave at the doctor’s office! My sister went with us to this appointment. Doctor says that Blake is right on target and doing just fine. He can start on table foods and 3rd foods….he still doesn’t have any teeth, but doc says that he can gum through some stuff! I am excited for him to start trying some things and to see what he likes!

He is catching up and surpassing some on his measurements. He started in about the 5th percentile for everything. Now is in the 50th for weight and head circumference and the 75th for height! Tall boy.

I asked about him tugging his ears b/c I thought that was due to his teething…come to find out, he was recovering from a double ear infection! Talk about feeling guilty…I didn’t even take him in. Ryan and I were on our trip, and Mary had said that he was a little fussy while we were gone…but nothing TOO bad. WELL, I guess the poor guy had a reason to be fussy! SO, he is ok now, and we just have to go back in a month to make sure that there is no fluid in his ears. Such a good boy….even when sick he barely makes a peep!

Wedding pics aside….I am heading back to ww tonight. I have been off the wagon for a couple of weeks, so I NEED to start eating better and getting back into my old routine! Party is over!

Ryan is working nights this week, so I have barely seen him. Makes me realize how lucky we are that we typically have the same schedule. I will be happy to get back to normal next week!

10 months old today!

Today our little Blake is 10 months old. Hard to believe that he can be that old already. This has been the fastest year of my life. My mom always told me that the older you get, the faster time goes and I didn’t believe it…but I do now! I just want to turn back the clocks!

Blake is now….
-Weighing in at a whopping 19.6 pounds (right at the 50th percentile)
-measuring 29.5 inches in length (75th percentile!...tall boy)
-measuring a head circumference of … well I forgot….but doc said that was in the 50th percentile too…so I guess he has a perfect round little melon!
-crawling EVERYWHERE! He is fast…into everything…will be down the hall and into his own room before I can even turn around!
-having no prob. going from hands and knees to sitting position
-eating some real food! He can munch on some crackers and hard bread. He has tried chicken and seemed to like that. Didn’t really care for mashed potatoes or squash…but we will keep trying!
-pulling himself up to kneeling to get into toy boxes, laundry baskets, etc….not quite standing yet, but will be SOON!
-laughing, clapping, giggling a lot
-starting to get shy around strangers….typically loves everyone…but every once in awhile wants mama, dada, or Aunt Mary
-reverted to NOT sleeping through the night….SAD….he is up now at about 4 for a bottle…but back down until 6:30 or so….I guess our luck ran out!
-STILL looking like he will pop a tooth ANY day...but nothing yet!

He is the bestest kid around and we just love him SOO much!

SO...we have been married for over two weeks now...and I still have TONS to post about the wedding! Today I am posting some pics fro the rehersal dinner.

The rehersal dinner took place at the home of some of Ryan's parents best friends. It was a little chilly that night, but other than that it was great!
