Busy days....

I have had a few really busy days this week. Ryan is working long 12 hour days this week...and I feel like a single mother! ha....I don't know how they do it...or mama's that hubby's travel all week long. I don't know if I could do it!

The lake is starting to look ready for summer....now we just need to get the boat in!!
It looks almost warm enough to dive in...it ISN'T! It is still pretty cold in MI. However, it is supposed to be up in the 70's tomorrow!

Poor Blaker wanted to come out and check it out....he is obsessed with being outside these days!

And also obsessed with the stairs...it is a full time job just watching him on the staircase!!

I am SO ready for the weekend. This week has been nuts. This weekend will be busy too...but at least Ry will be with me :)....thank goodness for my family being so close and always around. Blake and I would have been lonely this week!!

Top 2 Favorite Things About Summer

1. 4th of July: The 4th of July is one of my fav holidays. I love everything about it. A long weekend off of work, being outside, food, fireworks.....

2. Being at the lake: My parents live on a lake, so we spend LOTS of time there over the summer...and I love it. Last year Blake was pretty young to really enjoy it...but this summer he will love playing on the beach, swimming, boating, etc. Blake just chillin on the boat last summer...he looks SO different now!

Little Sissy's Prom

Saturday was Dani's Senior prom. We headed out to go get some pictures of her and her friends before they headed off to dinner and the dance. Blake was a little nervous about all of the pretty girls. He usually is not too shy...but he sure was on Saturday!

We had a great weekend....dispine the rain. It was pretty wet the whole time...figures that the sun came back out this morning, just in time for me to go back to work for the week! Oh well.

What’s happening this weekend…

-Working (watching the clock) til 5:00 today.
-out to lunch with mom and Mary at noon
-Hurrying home to change and get Blake around and then heading to SIL Dani’s softball game
-If that gets over early enough possibly heading to the Maple Syrup Festival Lights and Sirens parade at dusk (took Blake last year…he was so young...but this year he will like it)!
-Saturday Ryan is fising
-If we don’t make it to the Maple Syrup Festival on Friday night might take Blake to check it out
-maybe a little shopping and/or housework?
-Heading north with Blake, mom, and sister to meet up with Ryan and dad after fishing for dinner and a bon fire at the lake

-Sunday church
-head over to my parents?
-to in-laws for dinner

I hope that the weather hold up! It is pretty nice today, but supposed to get cooler as the weekend progresses…

Blake has been SUCH a happy boy this week. He is so sweet. He has been sleeping so great at night...eating good...laughing all of the time. We are so blessed to have such a great kid.

Next to impossible...

Getting a good picture is next to impossible these days! We went to the in-laws on Sunday for dinner, so I wanted to get a couple of pictures of the cousins...nope, not gonna happen!!

Blake on the couch by himself was OK...he wasn't interested in the camera, but he thought that it was pretty comfy....

And then we put baby cousin Addy up there too....that lasted about 2 seconds (just long enough to snap this one bad pictures)....Blake was outta there in no time flat!!

Addy...saying hey what the heck cousin...wait for me!! Addy turns one next weekend!! Her birthday party is on Saturday May 1, so maybe I can get some pictures of the cousins then!!

Wedding Wednesday

The pictures this week were taken pre-ceremony. We did all of the "girl" pics and then the "boy" pics...Ryan and I really didn't want to see each other before the ceremony so we could have that moment when I was walking down the aisle...but we wanted to get some pictures out of the way so that it didn't take all afternoon between the ceremony and reception!!

My friend Erica...who was 7.5 months preggers at the time of our wedding....you can barely tell in the picture!! Erica and I were roomies after I graduated from college...she lived with me in my house just before I met Ryan and when we started dating!! We have had LOTS of great times together. Now our sons are going to be best buddies!! They are 11 months apart in age.
This is Dani, my little SIL. She is Ryan's little sister, 8 years younger than him. She is a senior in HS this year....we cant believe that she is graduating and going to college soon!!

This is Danielle. Danielle and I met in college in the downs when we lived in Sweeney Hall. We lived down the hall from each other but because instant BFF's. We went on to live together in apts. for the rest of college. Danielle and her hubby Doug got married just 2 weeks before Ryan and I!

Carson...one of the friends that I have had for the longest. We have been friends since Kindergarten!! Pretty crazy. She moved in with Danielle and I when we moved to an apt. in college. She is always a GREAT time...and the best friend a girl could ask for. Always there when you need her :)

My mom...didn't she look GREAT! Loved her dress. my mom sure did make the whole wedding process great. Always helping me out with everything that needed to be done...shopping, invites, putting things together...you name it! Love her SOO much!!

This is a fun topic for me...b/c I LOVE to get a good deal! My picks today are summer items...because I am SO ready for summer!!

1. Sunglasses from Forever 21. They are $5.80 per pair!! Amazing. They have LOTS of styles to pick from...and at a mere $5.80 each you can pick a few! This is good for me, b/c I love big shades, but I have a tendency to loose them...so pricey shades just do not work for me!!

2. Layering tanks from Old Navy for $5.99 each!! I wear these a LOT in the summer months. Usually 2 at a time...over my bathing suit and on the way to the lake. They are nice and long and super comfortable!!
