Last night we took Blake out to a ballgame! I think that he liked it :). It was fun…and I am so proud to take him places b/c he is such a good boy. Ryan, Blake and I went with my mom and dad. It was a perfect night for a game!

I am getting really excited for my bachelorette party this weekend! we are heading up north on Saturday afternoon and staying until Sunday. I think that there will be about 16 girls heading up…I am SO looking forward to it!

We are all wearing black when we go out on Saturday night. I got two new dresses (from forever 21) and I can’t decide which one to wear!!

Tonight we are going to a baseball game…it will be Blake’s first time at a (semi) professional game! I hope he likes it :)

So-long sweet summer…

HELLO fall….I can’t believe I am saying it, but I am ready for fall. It feels like fall around here. Campus is crazy again with classes starting this week. The parking lot at my office is packed again. During the summer I can get home in about 3 minutes, now with all of the students here it takes about 20 minutes! That detail aside, I am happy it is fall and ready to break out some fall clothes! Hard to believe that it is September next week!!

We had a fun summer, but I am ready for football, leaves changing colors, Halloween, and…our WEDDING!!

Weekend re-cap….

We had a god weekend…the weather felt like fall…which I sort of enjoyed!

On Friday night went to my parent’s house for dinner…we had to be home early b/c I had to be up for a 5:30 a.m. boot camp workout on Saturday a.m. You day sure seems long when you have your workout done by 7 a.m.!!

After my workout I went shopping will my soon to be MIL for stuff for the wedding! She got me jewelry, a unity candle, stuff for the guest book, etc!

On Sunday we went to church and then I had a bridal shower at Ryan’s grandmas. We got lots of goodies that I can’t wait to use! New silver wear, coffee pot, art for the wall, shower curtain and decorations for the bathroom, and on and on!! The best gift was a letter that Ryan wrote me that his mom framed…it is so sweet and made me cry when I opened it!

Can’t believe that there is only 33 more days before the wedding!!

I am off to another boot camp workout here in an hour…I am not nearly as sore as I was last week…maybe I am getting used to this?!?

SO CLOSE….

Blake is SO CLOSE to crawling…it is going to happen ANY day now. He has the army crawl down and can really move if he wants to…but he hasn’t put it all together to get on his hands and KNEES at one time. It really is going to be any day now though….I know that I want it now, but when he is in to EVERYTHING I will be wishing for the more stationary days to be back again!

STILL in pain from boot cam, but it is getting better…and I actually have today OFF, so no formal workout with the group and trainer. I should still do something…but we’ll see. I am back at it with a 5:30 a.m. group workout tomorrow morning!

Other than that, not TOO many plans for the weekend. Shopping tomorrow with the MIL for some wedding goodies and then a bridal shower for ME at Ryan’s grandmothers house on Sunday!

I feel like I got ran over….

By a TRUCK! I have had 2 boot camp workouts now, and I could barely move this a.m. Last night I woke up about every hour wanting to roll over, but I couldn’t! This workout is INTESE! It is only a couple of weeks long, so I am sure that I can handle it….but let me tell you, I am hurting right now! I have to go again in about an hour…and I just don’t know how I am going to do it! I am walking like a 90 year old woman!

On another note, tonight is our last night of volleyball. That means the end of the summer..it went by SO fast! Ryan and I didn’t have to play that much this summer b/c we were only “subs,” but Blake and I went down just about every week to watch and cheer on our team!

Hoo-Rah…

I started a BOOT CAMP workout yesterday and I am DYING today….seriously DYING! I am WAY out of shape I guess. It is a group workout program with a food plan. This is a RUSH version, so it is only 2 weeks long…b/c of that I think that the trainer makes it super intense. Last night was just the overview, measurements, and testing…and I just about couldn’t get out of bed this a.m. I feel like someone beat me UP! I almost couldn’t pick Blake up last night. My arms were like jell-o! I can’t even imagine how I will feel after the serious workout tonight!! Ha
I am going to try to push myself through this though, because we are only 38 days away from the wedding! What perfect timing if I can see some results out of this boot camp!

I have been slacking at taking pictures lately. We have been SO busy…and I REALLY want a new camera…mine is slow and doesn’t take the best pictures…I think that I may splurge and get one. I keep dropping hints to Ry and he doesn’t seem to mind…so I may have to start looking around :)

Since I have no new pics up, I thought I would post some from a month ago. These were taken when we took blake to watch some fireworks. He LOVED fireworks this year…I can’t wait to see what he thinks next year when he can actually communicate with us a little more!

Happy Birthday to my DAD!

Today is my dad’s birthday. We are celebrating by having dinner at the lake! He is such a great dad and grandpa….our family is SO lucky :)

A Night at the Races!

Last week we went to watch my dad race his car. Blake gets a kick out of all of the action and it was a beautiful night to be outside!

We’ve got another first!

Blake has been such a good eater all along….always eats three meals a day with bottles here and there on between. He usually loves eating and sitting in his chair. He takes a bit…babbles a bit….takes another bite. It is quite the production…

UNTIL this past Sunday….the little one was just too pooped to eat! It was the day of my bridal shower so he had been up entertaining all of my friends and wouldn’t take a nap all day. After the festivities we tried to feel him dinner and this is what happened!

He fell asleep with a big bite of sweet potatoes right IN is mouth! Poor little guy…now that is a TIRED boy!!

Happy 8 Months!!

I seriously cannot believe that Blake is 8 months old already! Where has the time gone? He is getting more and more fun to be around every single day. I feel like Ry and I are so blessed to have such a perfect little boy!

Things Blake is doing this month:

-Grabbing EVERYTHING in sight….hair, necklaces, skin, etc.
-trying hard to crawl, but not quite putting it together yet. Uses hands but no knees, or knees but no hands!
-sitting up ALL alone like a big boy!
-sleeping for 10 hours straight each night
-going to bed all by himself…Ry and I are trying to get out of the habit of rocking him to sleep…I think that it is harder for us than him. Blake talks to himself for a few minutes and then dozes off to sleep!
-laughing all of the time
-eating three meals a day…such a good eater!
-giving great (open mouth, slobbery) kisses
-spending lots of time with grandma…and loving every minute of it
-being a crazy man in his Johnny-Jump-Up. Spins and spins and then lifts his feet with he turns in circles!
-Going lots of places with mama as she gets stuff around for the wedding
-getting more hair all of the time…
-making us love him more and more every single day (if that is even possible!!)

Haha….I get that song in my head ALL of the time. It is WEDDING MANIA in my life. Between our wedding and all of our friend’s weddings and engagements it seems like it is all we talk/think about!

We had a great time last weekend at our friends Mike and Shannon’s wedding. It was a great day. Shannon looked beautiful. They are in Cabo now on their honeymoon…lucky dogs!!

We have such a close knit group of friends that most of the boys that were in the wedding this past weekend will be in our wedding. They all went to school together from 1st grade on! It was fun to see their wedding b/c ours will be in the same church withthe same priest. Only about 6 weeks to go!!

One year older…

Today is my birthday….with so much stuff going on it kind of snuck up on me this year! My family is taking me out to dinner tonight at a Japanese Steakhouse! I am excited. NOT excited about being one year older though…OH WELL!!

Yesterday my bridesmaids threw a bridal shower for me at my mom’s house. It was fun to see everyone and we got LOTS of goodies! Now I just need to find a place for everything! I think that I will need to have a garage sale to make room for the new goods!

Blake is literally RUNNING around the house in his walker. He is SO fast and can now navigate turns. Up until the past few days he would just go straight, hit a wall, and wait for someone to turn him…now he can do it all on his own!

Lots of posts rolled into ONE!

Wedding dress is HERE!
I went and tried on my dress yesterday…I hadn’t seen it since February, so it was pretty exciting! I still love it, and it fits way differently than it did in February (thank goodness :)).
NOW, I need to get a bra and shoes and head back for a fitting! There are a couple of places where the dress needs to be taken in a bit, but nothing major.

Ryan and I had a meeting with our Priest last night in preparation for our wedding. We had to take a survey and answer 140 questions about love, marriage, family, finance, sex, etc., etc. Next time we meet we will talk about our answers and any discrepancies we have…I feel pretty confident that we are on the same page, but we’ll see I guess!

While we were meeting, we left Blake and Ryan’s mom and dad’s…they just can’t get enough of him!

He started reaching for us yesterday! Best feeling in the WHOLE world. Ryan’s little sister was holding him when we got back…and he reached his little arms out towards me…..talk about melt your heart!! He did it to Ryan too…..OMG! SO CUTE!
Our friends Shannon and Mike are getting married this weekend…we can’t wait. Ryan is in the wedding. The rehearsal dinner is tonight and then the wedding and reception are tomorrow night.

I weighed in this a.m. at WW, and I LOST 1.8 lbs! I am super excited about this, because I didn’t think that I was down that much! Only seven more weigh in’s before the wedding, so I am motivated to do good until then!
