Little Olivia is getting cuter and cuter every single day!! She is so alert. She is starting to stay awake longer during the day...hopefully that means she will be sleeping for longer periods at night! She is still in newborn clothing, but they are almost too short now!!
We got word that her Ultra Sound on her hip came back clear...so no issues there! It was a little scary..but I am glad that they checked...better safe that sorry!
I cant believe that I olny have 2 more weeks before I go back to work part time and 4 until full time. January flew by SOOO fast!!

My baby is growing up...
It seems like Blake is just growing up in front of our eyes! I love all of the changes that he is making and the things that he is learning…but it is sad that he isn’t a baby anymore!! Since I have been home on maternity leave we have been keeping Blake on his regular 3 days a week daycare/school schedule…to keep him in a routine. Plus he likes it there and would be bored at home. I miss him so much while he is there, but I know that it is good for him.
In the past month or so he has really come a long way. His vocabulary has exploded. He can pretty much tell you anything that he would like to! He is working on recognizing basic shapes and knows them all…including octagon, which always cracks me up when he says it. He knows basic colors. He can count to 10 when prompted a bit. I feel like he is just SOOO smart! He memorizes movies and recites them when they are on…specifically Shrek right now. He is on a big Shrek kick!
He tells us when he is ready for a nap or bed at night. He LOVES to sleep. He tells us when he has went “poo poo”…now we just need to work on him telling us BEFORE he goes! He still doesn’t ay much attention to Olivia, but luckily has no jealousy issues either.
His hair is SO thick and grows so fast. Funny because when I look at pictures of when he was little and he was as bald as an eagle! He still wears a size 4 diaper...and probably always will. He is wearing size 18-month clothing…and a few 24-month shirts…but not pants. He is very skinny through the waist!
I love this little guy SOO much and he makes me so proud!

New member of the family...
My parent got a new puppy...Maggie! Their dog Jacqui (that they/we had for 14 years) had to be put down because of a tumor on her leg. My parents thought that the house was just too quiet without her...so they got a new puppy! Both Jack Russell Terriers. Maggie is 12 weeks old now...

1 Month Check-Up
We had Olivia's 1 month well-visit today. A week and a half late...but that is how they scheduled us! She did good. She was a brave girl and was good for the doctor...she had to get a shot..so that was as rough on my mom and I as it was for Livi! Poor thing screamed like crazy...but just for a few seconds!
She is now 21.25 inches longLength = in percentile 25
She weighs 8lbs. 9oz.
Weight = between percentile 10 and 25
Head circumference is 14.75
Head Circumference = between percentile 25 and 50
The doc has referred us for an Ultra Sound on Olivia's hips. She didn't like it when the doc was checking out the movement in her hips...hopefully it is nothing. The doc just wants to be 100% sure that everything is ok. The Ultra Sound is scheduled for Friday.
The appt. for the ENT in regards to her laryngotracheomalacia isn't until Feb 28th. The pediatrician said that is because it isn't too much to worry about. I hope she is right!
Despite these small issues she is just perfect! She is the happiest baby ever.

Detroit Tigers Caravan!
I am enrolled in a leadership course through our Chamber of Commerce. We meet once a month on a Friday for a year. This past Friday we had our meeting and I got to go an meet/listen to some of the Detroit Tigers! If you are not a Tigers fan, or not in MI this is not a big deal to you...but we are big Tigers fans so this was pretty cool!! The event was "by invitation only" so only 200 people in the community got to attend. I was SO close to them. I took pictures of a few of our fav players...

5 Weeks...
I know that last week I said that the weekly posts were done...but I missed posting on Olivia's 1 month b-day this past Saturday...so this is it (maybe...)
Olivia is still a prefect baby girl. She is so happy and sweet. Look at these great pictures...she is so alert and happy!!
She is still eating about 2 oz. every 3 hours. She goes 4 hours for one stint at night...
She only fusses when she is hungry...so she is pretty easy to read.

She has gained a full pound since birth. She is now weighing 8 lbs. 2. oz. That puts her between the 10th and 25th percentiles...
She was diagnosed with laryngotracheomalacia last week...long name...and a little confusing. She has weak cartilage around her trachea, allowing it to collapse when she breathes in. We were concerned because we could hear her breathing very loud and it sounded labored. Our pediatrician says that she is getting all of the oxygen that she needs...but we are bring referred to an ENT. Apparently she is in no pain or harm and she will grow out of this by 6-8 months old...lets hope so! I will know more after meeting with the ENT in February...

Little Cuties...
I am waiting until Olivia is a little older to have "real" professional pictures taken...but I just took her down to good old Wal-Mart for the $7.99 special to get some taken for right now. She is just too cute! I was thinking that she would be sleeping and I could get the typical newborn baby shot...but she was WIDE awake! They turned out cute anyway...
I realized that I just couldn't have Olivia's pictures taken and not Blake's...so I had his done too. He HATED IT.....but they got one good one. This was the very first shot...before he realized what was going on! **I stole these pictures off of the "proofing page"...so they have words through the faces...but you get the idea! Not bad for $8 each for 30 prints :)

4 weeks old!
This is a cell phone picture...but too cute not to post!
She looks so old!
* Olivia is 4 weeks old today. Crazy how fast the past 4 weeks have went and how much she has changed!
*I am not sure how much she weighs, because we haven't been to the doctor since she was 4 days old! I am sure that she has gained good weigh though.
*We have an appt. tomorrow, so maybe we will get a weight then. We were not supposed to go back until the 24th, but we have noticed that it sounds like she is having some issues breathing. Sometimes it sounds like she is having such a hard time catching a breath...so we have an appt. just to be on the safe side. I am thinking that everything is ok...but we don't want to wait until the 24th to see!
*She is still in newborn clothing and diapers.
*She is eating formula and breast milk just fine. Quite the eater!
*Eats 2 oz. about every 3 hours. Goes 4 hours at night.
Wakes to eat at 10:30, 2:30, and 6:30...not bad!
*We had an appt. to get pictures taken today. I wanted her to curl up in a ball on her belly for a cute baby-butt shot...but she was WIDE awake and moving all over..so that didn't really happen! We got a cute one...but not the typical baby pic...she almost squirmed right off the table. The photographer couldn't believe how strong she was! We might have our hands full with this one :)
*I am loving the maternity leave! It is going to be hard to go back to work.
*Once she hits the one month mark this weekend, I will just do these posts monthly (not weekly)!

HUGE Fish...
Ryan caught this HUGE pike while ice fishing at my parents house on Saturday. He was like a kid on Christmas morning...SO excited. Made me never want to swim in the lake again!! That thing was huge!
