Appointment

Had my bi-monthly appointment today. Everything looks Ok, BUT my blood pressure is up a bit and I had protein in my urine sample. A little odd, because I haven’t been experiencing any unusual symptoms. The Dr. said that it is nothing to really worry about and we will check the progress at my next appointment in two weeks.

Since my appointment I have done a little research, and I think that I am freaking myself out! I read "Pre-eclampsia is diagnosed when a pregnant woman develops high blood pressure (two separate readings taken at least 4 hours apart of 140/90 or more) and 300 mg of protein in a 24-hour urine sample (proteinuria). A rise in baseline BP of 30 systolic or 15 diastolic, while not meeting the absolute criteria of 140/90 is still considered important to note but no longer diagnostic."....my bp was only about 128/88.....so I am under the thresh hold mentioned here.

Any who....I will be crossing my fingers that everything is back to normal by the next appointment!

The nursery is almost done being painted (thanks to Ryan, mom, and dad). Ryan is going to put the ceiling fan up tonight and then the chair rail will hopefully go up next Monday!

Tomorrow is our prepared childbirth class. We will be spending ALLLL day preparing ourselves for the big day :o)

Mama S and G-ma B went to Saginaw today to Babies r Us...haven’t talked to them yet, but I am sure that they were overwhelmed with all of the baby things! There is just SO much 'stuff' available!
